Guest guest
Just a small note of warning - during my studies to become an Aromatherapist, I learned that Wintergreen was a toxic oil and not to be used. I also remember hearing that most wintergreen EO that consumers see is not really wintergreen. If anyone wants more info I will ask the safety experts on the essential oils list to give me a better explanation as to why it is so toxic and what we are really buying when we by wintergreen eo. Guest guest
Thanks Penny... I thought so but then all the stir came up about it! Where do you buy your organic oil at...maybe it is cheaper than where I got it last time. Methyl salicilate is very easily synthisized with chemicals, so "fake" wintergreen oil is easy and inexpensive to produce. When I use the essential oil, I use it as less than 1% of the recipe. That's why Dr. Christopher's recipe threw me for such a loop. Thank you! I could not remember which chemical component it was that it was high in and this is exactly what I learned too.
