Guest guest
Here's the list as promised. I believe the Bill # was given in the URL that Suzi posted. Some of the religions are in French and were not translated. The following was written by M. Alain Gest who was also mentioned in that URL as one of the advocates of suppressing minority religions. You have to realize that over here faiths such as the Baptists and members of The Church of Christ are considered mainstream. Over in France, per the following, they are considered "cults". You'll notice Wiccans, Budhist, Hindu, and many other 'sects' on the following. I wish I could go into greater detail for you as I have considerably more data, but I'm snowed under at the moment. As time allows... Love, Doc COMPLETED ON BEHALF OF THE INVESTIGATION COMMISSION (1) ON CULTS, President M. Alain Gest, Rapporteur M. Jacques Guyard, Députees. The Nature of the Cults A study of the sects currently established in France shows that they settled in two quite distinct groups. The first goes back to the early 20th century, which saw religious movements mainly from Anglo-Saxon countries take root in French society. Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Pentecostals, Adventists, Baptists: All these movements, resulting from Protestantism, added their disagreements with the official doctrines of the church to those already expressed by the groups that resulted from the Catholic sphere of influence (Antoinistes, followers of the Christ of Montfavet). The second wave broke at the end of the 1960s, coming from the United States, but marked by, on the one hand, greater oriental characteristics, and on the other, esotericism or gnosticism. In particular, emerging from the first wave were the International Association for Krishna Consciousness (founded in 1966), Association for the Unification of World Christianity (AUCM, or Moon sect) and Soka Gakkai. Cult Followings Even though it is difficult to arrive at a precise number, or to differentiate between a true member and an occasional disciple or a sympathiser, the Renseignements Généraux (internal security services) estimate the number of members, even if not regular ones, to be 160,000 and the number of sympathisers to be 100,000. However, it is essential to point out that 80% of groups count less than 500 members, around 60 cults have even less than 50 followers. One can see, therefore, that the cult phenomenon is concentrated on around 40 groups, which, as we’ll see, are those deemed most dangerous per established criteria. The following lists show, in alphabetical order and per number of members, the name of groups that can be classed as cults per established criteria. - Cults of less than 50 members : Rosicrucian/ Cultural Research Association AMPARA (no data on what it stands for)ALPHA Cultural Association Association for the Support of Sundari’s work – The School of Essentialism Right to Survive AssociationSpiritual Association of Haidyakhan"Raphaël" Centre of Psychic Applications François de Sales Centre of Fulfilment and Help Centre of Human Development Centre of Dalmatian TherapyKey of the Universe Prelude to the Golden Age Club Community of Thébaide "Les Boucheries" CommunityCosmiciaCosmos - Guest guest
Sorry Sweetie, no joke. I don't just up and leave my whole practice to go over to Europe for 3 to 4 weeks on a lark and a pleasant run through the Alps and the French countryside. Did you know that the anhilation of the Jews in WW2 was downplayed and very few really knew about the numbers involved and the atrocities perpetrated until after the war. This is why I'm one of the Captains and running in the marathon, to bring it to public attention and also for the defence of my religion which happens to be on the list. Guest guest
We don't hear anything on the news but what they want us to hear. Has anyone heard about the killings of Christians in Sudan? Not on our t.v. I would shudder to think what would happen if they printed the REAL news. God be with you Doc, Patty
