Guest guest
Hi, all! My nearly 7 month old boy has had an on-again-off-again cough for months. It's very phlegmy. At the start, this pedia would recommend spraying him with Ventolin inhaler to dilate his brochial tubes. LAter on it progressed to a steroid since the cough's on-again-off- again nature. We weren't too happy with this so after 4 sprays, I got him off it, and went to see an alternative doctor. He suggested Kali Mur, Spongia Tosta, Bioplasma, Bee Propolis. I had thought that those would help, but then my baby's still at it. He wheezes a teensy bit in the mornings and is phlegmy sporadically throughout the day. I don't know if it's asthma. Any thoughts, anyone? Thanks, Jen
Guest guest
Poor little kid! Jen, what are you feeding him? Digestion is the place to start with ANY auto-immune condition. So many kids are allergic these days. I am just a humble foot squeezer who doesn't diagnose, and besides, athma is just a label. But let's start playing with his food. allright? And if you are breastfeeding, with yours. Guest guest
Hi Jen, Anything in the house or even outside (pollen, grass...) that might be causing it? Pets, dust (even tho you've cleaned), candles, any cologne mom/dad wear, cleaning products.... Is he nursing or on formula? My kids are pretty much grown, I'm trying to think back to anything we kept on hand and used besides a prescription...Vicks Vapor Rub on chest & throat and under nose, on upper back. Bendryl (a very tiny bit, read label) might help if allergy related, but with the phlegm I don't know. Can he drink water okay? (sorry, my kids are teens now, hard to remember!) Fluids will help thin the phlegm (you probably know that!) Sorry I'm not more help. It's so hard to think what to give when they're that age that won't be too strong/much for them. Keep us posted on how he's doing and if you find something that works well! Guest guest
20.7.05 if you want to really get off this plegm, try linga mudra - yogic hand postures - made with thumb and fingers. this is available in the mudra folder in the files section. it should not take you more than 7 days to clear off this problem with a practice of 5 minutes 3 times a day. with light & love d.k.kothari - " jencc " <jencc Tuesday, July 19, 2005 12:59 PM cough = asthma? > Hi, all! > > My nearly 7 month old boy has had an on-again-off-again cough for > months.
