Linda,

I had a friend that was sick a lot and the best we could find was

ginger ale soda.

It helps to leave it open in the refrigerator and let it go flat.

I've had 3 of the little varmints, and what worked me was hey, mint! That was a

Freudian slip actually!

Well good luck to your daughter. Just go NATURAL, NATURAL, NATURAL. The body

naturally regurgitates poison to protect the babe.

Linda,

Several years ago when I was first expecting, the Dr told me to take a pack

of soda crackes or saltines and lay them on my bedside table. He said when I

awoke the next morning before getting out of bed to eat a couple of the

crackers. I did and it kept me from being sick.. During the day then if I

started feeling sick to my stomache I would eat a couple more. Even now when

I start getting sick like I am going to throw up I grab the crackers..

Try vitamin B6 with B complex (that is B complex with extra B6) for morning sickness.

Hi Linda,

I suggest your daughter take Power-V grape oil extract capsule in 500 mg.

softgel capsule. It's being taken as food supplement by many pregnant

women in Philippines. Here's some info about Power-V:

POWER-V GRAPE SEED OIL EXTRACT

V- (Vitis vinefera)

Power-V is a food supplement.

It is a 100% concentrated grape seed oil extract, not a medicine or a

drug, in softgel capsules, 500 mg per capsule

Power-V vs other Grape seed extract

Power-V is not in powder form, without rice and oak bran, nor does it

contain chemical solvents, preservatives, artificial colors, sugar,

starch, yeast, corn or animal products of any kind.

POWER-V is the purest available -with no undesirable additives -in pure

encapsulated form - not inferior tablets. Each softgel capsule contains:

500mg Standardized Grape Seed Oil Extract (97.7%+ OPC).

POWER-V is a natural plant substance that has a concentrated source of

oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC). These anti-oxidants help protect cells

from free radical damage and also promotes healthy circulation. POWER-V is

rich in polyphenols, a compound that's high in antioxidants. Studies have

shown OPC to be more powerful antioxidants than vitamin C, E, and

beta-carotene.

Good luck.

Hello Linda,

I had terrible morning sickness with my second child. I was loosing

weight, i couldnt even go near my kitchen without getting sick all i

could do was lay on the couch, it was awful! I used those

acupressure wrist bands that you can get at the drug store. They did

help some, just be sure you get them in the right place on your

wrist. Also i was told the same as someone else had mentioned...keep

food by your bed..eat as soon as you wake up even if its just a

cracker or two..my doctor acually told me to try potato chips..I

wasnt able to keep prenatal vitamins down so they gave me the

chewable kind which might be good for your daughter. The ginger tea

is great for nausea and for painful gas bubbles after the

birth...they gave it to me when i was in the hospitol after my C-

section...all they did was take some ginger ale and put a regular

tea bag in it and warm it in the microwave..it really worked great!

My doctor was convinced that i was having twins because i was so

sick but the sonogram showed otherwise..but thankfully the sickness

should start to subside around the 4 month mark. Good luck!

I experienced intense nausea and vomiting when I gave birth to my 8mm

kidney stone about 2 years ago. All the usual remedies (crackers,

ginger ale, ginger tea, lemon tea, peppermint tea) didn't work. I also

tried two different prescriptions - Phenergen (oral and suppository) and

another drug that I can't remember the name but it began with an " M " .

Only the suppository worked and only minimally. Accidentally I

discovered that chewing my favorite gum worked. The brand is " Everest "

- Its hard to find these days - its usually in grocery store check out

lines. It comes in a blue and white tin like Altoids. This gum is made

with natural peppermint oil. Maybe there are other natural peppermint

oil type chewing gum that you can find in health food store. The gum

was the only thing that worked for me.

Linda,

The vitamins the doctors were wanting me to take made me sick, is she

taking any? I ended up taking 2 Centrum vitamins a day, they didn't

make me sick. Make sure she is taking some type vitamin with folic

acid in it.

Everyone is different when pregnant. For me with my twins all I could

eat was the 2 vitamins a day, peanut butter, only warm soft drinks

(dark, like Pepsi), chocolate milk (couldn't stand regular/white milk

while pregnant, made me sick), crackers of course, some soups that are

more brothy, like chicken noodle, no cream type soups, honey buns

(which I never eat normally).... Anyway, certainly not the best diet

but with the twins I was throwing up the whole 9 months, bad

heartburn, etc. Oh and lime sherbet and that's something I didn't eat

while not pregnant too. Almost everything gave me heartburn and had

me throwing up except the above.

My first pregnancy was totally different than with the twins.

Let us know if she finds something that really helps.

I read that potato chips (vitamin B and potassium) and Cracker Jacks quell nausea. Also gingersnaps may help.

I ate a lot of soda crackers when I was pregnant.

I am a homeopath; I know that there are remedies which do miracles.

Homeopathic remedies are harmless and easy to take. These have no side

effects, so can be taken easily during pregnancy.

I would suggest Ipecac 6c for thrice a day especially 5 minutes before meal.

Another medicine which will help is Pulsatilla 6c.

The best thing would be that you go and visit any professional homeopath in

your area, who will be able to describe more appropriate remedy according to

history.
