Guest guest
We just got back from a little spring RV jaunt to California. Folks, I am in love. We traveled the whole North Coast down to Aptos near Santa Cruz, where an old friend from here ended up. It wasn't as warm as I had hoped, but the flowers! And the lush green! And the shape of those oaks! Much quieter than the Oregon coast too. It does take forever. Twisting, up and down, 30 miles per hour and worth it. I could have stopped at every interesting looking plant but of course that is never possible. We kept seeing these beautiful blue flowering bushes that looked sort of like Rosemary, except Rosemary doesn't get that big, does it?? ( I believe down there it does). Trilliums in the redwoods. Clumps of white Calla lilies everywhere. Dunes covered in colourful flowering iceplants. California poppies. Something with HUGE blue flowering cones that I never saw before, both wild and in the gardens. Maybe we got a particularly flattering view of the place. But now at least I understand why so many people want to move to the land of quakes and flakes. Ien in the Kootenays, where spring is trying hard and I just saw a coltsfoot, yeah!*****************************You ought to be Thankful,a Whole Heaping Lotfor the places and peopleyou're lucky you're not!~Dr Seusswho is this Kootenay person anyway?http://www.greatestnetworker.com/is/ien******************************
Guest guest
Hi, sounds like you had a wonderful experience, myself have travelled that route many times and have lived in CA, No.,So,Mid mostly on the coast and you are pulling a thread that may lead me there again soon. I am in Or and yes, I am on the NO OR coastline here and believe this beach is THE most beautiful but NO CA is more scenic. , " Ieneke van Houten " <ienvan@t...> wrote: > We just got back from a little spring RV jaunt > to California.
