Guest guest
Hello: I'm Heather from CA. I'm in the GREAT need for some help. I'm sick right now with bronchitis and sinus problems. HOW do I stop getting sick? Would taking echnicea (sp) NOW make any difference? Thanks! --Heather W heather_feather32

Guest guest
Hello Heather, I can relate to your frustration. The part that bothers me the most is the constant coughing and the inabilty to get any sleep. I used to get several viruses per year. No matter what I did, they always seemed to last at least a week or two. Now, I rarely get viruses and if I do, they only last a few days (knock on wood!). It's a lot more fun being healthy. How do you stop getting sick? It's kind of like studying for a big exam. Have you ever observed people who wait until the last week of the semester to start to study. I have to admit that I was also guilty a few times myself. I did an all-nighter before the exam, drank a thermos of cofffee and dragged my body to the classroom. When I got there, I was so tired, I could hardly think straight. I may have passed the exam but I don't think I really learned much. Isn't that the point? The best way to avoid getiing sick is to have a strong immune system and avoid exposure as much as possible. Unless you live in a bubble, there is no way you can avoid being exposed. However, the one element that you can control is enhancing your immune system with the use of nutritional supplements. It has been documented over and over in our medical literature that you are able to enhance and boost your immune system with the use of nutritional supplements at their optimal levels. Cellular nutrition is the start. This is providing the body with all of the nutrients at their optimal level that has been shown to provide a health benefit in our medical literature. The same micronutrients that are able to optimize our antioxidant defense system can also optimize our immune system. However, it does take time. For children and young adults (younger than age 30), it takes at least 6 months to build up your immune system. For older adults, it has been shown that it takes over a year of supplementation to completely optimize your immune system. Therefore, it is critical that you begin right now and build up your immune system. This is your best defense against any of viral diseases. Nutritional supplements can also have a positive effect on cancer treatments. Ralph Moss, Phd, wrote a book back in 2000 that was titled, " Antioxidants Against Cancer. " He gave a speech in 2001 at a Symposium in Helsingor, Denmark. After discussing both sides of the issue, he concludes that, " antioxidants are in fact beneficial when used with conventional treatments. " Here is a link to that speech: http://www.cancerdecisions.com/denmark2001.html Another article on Vitamin C and cancer: http://www.positivehealth.com/permit/Articles/Cancer/calvino71.htm I recommend that you check out the following link: http://www.comparativeguide.com/guides/adultguide.html Here is a helpful guide to making an informed choice concerning which nutritional supplement to choose. They studied over 1,000 different supplements and rated them on a scale between 1-100. I recommend choosing one that is rated 80 or above.Get well soon, Heather. Better yet, stay well all year round. If you want to know what I am taking, send me an email and I will provide you with that information. Guest guest
11,4,05 i have loaded some yogic hand postures called mudras in the files section. Linga mudra if done for 3 days at least can take care of all coughing. do it for 5 mts at a time thrice a day. it takes care of bronchitis and sinus problems also. just continue for 7 days and see the miracle for improving immunity & strength in adults and older people, pran mudra is excellant. no side effect and the mudras are based on correcting the imbalance of 5 elements which constitute our bodies. try & share. with light & love d.k.kothari DK_Holistic_Healing/ - "Jeff" <jeff_iversen Monday, April 11, 2005 9:48 AM Re: sickness problems > > > > Hello Heather,> I can relate to your frustration. Guest guest
Hi Heather, I agree with Jeff, a good vitamin therapy is essential to help your body fight off viruses and infections. As for the sinuses and you being in Ca, is that california or canada? If its California, just look at how much rain you got this winter. Allergy season should be in full force. The best treatment I have for sinus problems is a neti pot. You mix about a teaspoon of sea salt with water, and irrigate the sinuses (I do this in the shower, its easier) to get all the pollens, dust, and gunk out. It helps you breathe easier, and the salt makes the conditions unfavorable for bacteria and viruses. I couldn't live without one, now. As for the echinacea, its good, better if combined with Golden Seal, but its an immune BOOSTER, not an antibiotic or cureall. If you do use it, try it two weeks on, one week off, two weeks on. , " heather k " <heather_feather32> wrote: > > > Hello: > > I'm Heather from CA. > > I'm in the GREAT need for some help. > > I'm sick right now with bronchitis and sinus problems.
