Good Morning!

Hematite and Other's Moods

I often find that other people's moods are contagious. For example,

if someone is sad I find myself feeling sad, too. If I feel open and

vulnerable on a particular day, especially when I am seeing patients,

I notice I tend to absorb other's emotions more easily.

Hematite is a protective stone. By allowing us to be more grounded,

this stone roots our emotions and gives us the protection we need to

face the energies that are projected our way. No matter what the

emotional energies may be.

Hematite was used during ancient times as a mirror because

of its reflective qualities. It can help you to deflect, rather than

absorb, the moods of others. Silver-gray metallic is an iron ore

which is iron oxide usually FeO2. One of the most grounding of all

stones (Root Chakra.) Condenses scatteredness, fuzziness into mental

clarity, concentration, memory, practicality, helps study,

bookkeeping, detail work, sound sleep. Confidence, will power,

boldness.

Egyptians used Hematite to also calm hysteria and anxiety.

According to , hematite is very Yang in nature. It

helps us adjust to being physical. It is related to the spleen and

blood and is used to cleanse. It can deflect energies and helps us to

regroup after jet lag, stress, birth, anesthesia.

Thanks for sharing this about hematite. I've been experimenting with solors

and stones, and I will definitely try this one now. As I read this, it

occured to me that this might help with a problem I'm experiencing right

now. There is a real energy vampire in my house, anyone that spends time

with her comes away exhausted. Since I'm in a position of caretaking for

her, I try to keep up some kind of shield around myself, but I know I don't

always succeed in that. Do you have any suggestions for dealing with this?

Thanks, Maria
