How do you feel about the old standby: hot water, lemon juice, honey, and as much cayenne pepper as you can stand? We have cleared up a lot of tonsillitis with that. Since it makes anything flow that needs to run, it should help with sinuses. If you want to get fancy there is something Ayurvedic called I believe a neti pot that you use to rinse out the sinuses. I may be able to find something in the archives of another group. Hey, ask Google. Good luck! P.S. Enzymes are also great as general cleaner-uppers if you take them between meals. Read Dr Jon Barron's e-book. Guest guest
David, This might sound odd, but I had a terrible sinus infection a few weeks ago and it was suggested that I try a new healing music my friend had come across. It works on the principle of I-Ching hexagram patterns converted to rhythms and then has music overlayed. It wasn't too sure that music could have that much of a healing impact, but I tried it anyway. I bought the CD they are selling and listened to it before going to bed. When I woke up I could breath! My symptoms have almost completely disappeared and I haven't needed any "over the counter medications" since that night. If your interested, the name of the company is My-Chi and they can be found at www.My-Chi-Music.com. I think they only have one CD available right now, but it's suppose to be going on sale tomorrow. You might want to check them out. I was really amazed at it's healing power. Vicki

Guest guest
Hi David-- Researchers at the Karolinska Hospital in Sweden found that a daily program of humming can reduce or even eliminate nasal and sinus congestion and other upper respiratory problems. I write about this in my book " Free Your Breath, Free Your Life, " where I give a practice called " The Humming Breath " that can not only help with this, but can also strengthen your diaphragm and imrpove your overall breathing, which, of course, has a positive impact on health and well-being. You have to do it for 10 minutes or so every day, and it is important not to force the humming in any way. You also need to focus your humming into the areas you want to help with. With best wishes, Dennis Lewis http://www.authentic-breathing.com , DNBursky@a... wrote: > I have been suffering from nasal congestion and am unable to take sudafed > due to it's effect on me of heart palpitations. Guest guest
Hi, David, I have had severe nasal/sinus cingestion until I found these things out: I went to an allergist and he found that I am actually allergic to dandelions and dust and feathers. So, I got rid of my feather down comforter (boo hoo) and I have to vacumn my bed a lot to get rid of dust mites. It is a good idea to buy those things that cover the mattress and the pillows to not allow any dust mites coming through. If you find that you awake with nasal congestion, the dust mites are probably one of your problems. As for the dandelions, I now have to destroy them outside before they bloom. You may not be allergic to dandelions, but, you could be allergic to other pollens. It is best to see an excellent allergist who can identify your allergens. As for diet, it is important to eliminate any foods that cause mucus which cause phlegm...the foods to avoid are dairy, sugar, and, rice. There are others, but, these are the main ones. Also, once I switched to a raw food diet, my nasal congestion disappeared. Cooked food acts like a poison to the body. Raw food is full of live enzymes which support and promote a healthy body. Please keep us posted and let us know how you do, Margarita , DNBursky@a... wrote: > I have been suffering from nasal congestion and am unable to take sudafed > due to it's effect on me of heart palpitations. Guest guest
Try the nasal strips. Those work great and have no medication.
