Guest guest
Good discussion about soy and how and with what foods it needs to be used. I'm now reading a great book on nutrition, which is available from several sources, I ordered mine from www.acresusa.com simply because they are on the forefront of Sustainable Agriculture. The book is 'Nourishing Traditions' The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Doctors, by Sally Fallon with Mary G. Enig, Ph.D. It talks about the long tradition of nourishing foods in traditional Cultures and what has happened to food in our Country and the other 1st World Countries. The quarter of the book which explains what is done to food here will give you nightmares, the paragraph on HOW margarine is made and what from is stunning........ since I'm a farmer, born and bred to the Land-----a good deal of this I already knew, but it's good to re-visit and re-affirm what we need to do to change things, teach our Children. There is nothing in this book about pets, but what is put in our commerical pet food is why our pets are so un-healthy now. Cats and dogs do well on nutritionally senseable food, if we are eating it ourselves. Again, I'm old, when I was young there was nothing such as 'boughten' dog or cat food, and our pets lived years longer then they do now.......and died of old age, not cancer.
