Guest guest
My mother who has lost her sense of Smell and Taste is 77 years old. Can anyone recommended any alternative solutions to this problem. Her memory isn't the best, but this could also be old age setting in? I look forward to your recommendations. Guest guest
Diana, Zinc supplements have been known to assist smell and taste. You might want to make sure she is getting a good food form multi. By the way, too much zinc (over 100 mg per day via Balch & Balch in " Prescription for Nutritional Healing " ) is toxic and will reduce the immune response. If sick, extra zinc over your multi is ok (up to 100 mg/day) until you are feeling better and then cut back. Usually one takes about 15 to 20 mg / day of zinc. See Balch & Balch for more information on zinc.
