I believe body normal temperature is 98.6 Does low body temperature indicate thyroid problems or bad circulation? Guest guest Posted January 24, 2005 Report Share Posted January 24, 2005 If you're extremeties are cold - and you have a low body temp. that is definitely a sign of thyroid problems (I know b/c the same thing happened to me)...please get it checked it out...mine was hashimoto's thyroiditis. Guest guest Posted January 24, 2005 Report Share Posted January 24, 2005 Andy, my temperature is always in the same range as yours. If it ever gets to 98.6, I'm seriously ill. I had a naturally minded doctor several years ago who said it was because my thyroid was sluggish. Not enough to show up on any of their insensitive tests. He suggested iodine to support the thyroid's function, preferably in a natural form, which means sea vegetables. There are also kelp supplements.
