Guest guest
dt.21.9.2004 i had received some difficulties in mudras, some of which are 1) not able to keep the other fingers straight. 2) done during meditation etc, points getting loose 3) not able sometimes to keep palms open to sky. 4) some has misunderstood that it has to be done with folded legs or padmasan. 5) hands cannot be kept straight what i had given is the optimum standard method. if necessary some compromises can be done.but no compromise on joining of thumb with respective fingers. 1) if we keep other fingers straight, it means the energy being drawn from these fingers from planets or universe is unhindered. in case some cannot do due to physical reasons or due to less attention during mudras, no harm. only some more time may be needed. 2) during meditation, if you concentrate on 3rd eye etc, your attention could be divided. mudra becomes loose and then you don`t get proper results. if you can maintain required pressure on mudras, no harm. 3) our left hand is receiving hand and right normally giving hand. when the elements are pressed, more energy is sucked in the palms to help thumb ( fire - cosmic consciousness) do the job. if for any reason, you are not able to do no harm. take that some more time may be needed for results. 4) only one surya mudra for weight loss needs cross legs or padmasan. others can be done lying or sitting without problem. 5) this could be difficult for so many. that is why i have suggested that you can keep your hands on chair handles, table. though some obstruction comes in energy flow, still it is more comfortable. while lying down, you can stretch your hands. i normally believe that maximum results should come within 15 days if done for 45 minutes daily may be in parts. if not, either the pressure has to be increased or some other mudra is needed - it may not be the right mudra. 2-3 mudras can be done simultaneously, one after the another. i hope this clarifies so many points. if anybody is facing any other problem, please write to me.
