Flu and Elderberry

There is some wonderful information about the product Sambucol and

the research done on it. Elderberry seems to actively suppress the

flu virus. My family and friends have been taking it for several

years and have not had the flu or even a virus for all that time.

Elderberries are ready for harvest in August and we are picking them

every day right now. We dry them and store them in air tight bottles

and containers. They grow all over the US prolifically. We add honey

and take this with vitamin C. We also mix it 1/2 elderberry juice to

1/2 red wine and drink it. The red wine is for the resveratrol. One

small glass a day this way is sufficient. There are many web sites

for elderberry found on Google with recipes etc. My grandson drinks a

small glass of apple juice mixed with elderberry every morning with

breakfast during the school year. He rarely gets even a cold and when

he does he recovers in just a few days. There are no known allergies

to elderberry but one should always be alert to the possibility that

they may not be able to take just everything. With the flu alert this

year elderberry may be the answer to avoiding it. Melba

Elderberry is awesome! Thanks for sharing the info on the

berries, I'll get looking for some. I use the flowers. For flus

mix them with mint in tea and it does wonders. Mix with boneset and

mint and it's miraculous.
