Guest guest
This past year has been extremely stressful for me. The loss of a loved one and more than normal stress at work. I am near 50 and can tell the stress has had an effect on my body. I have put on about 15 lbs, experience loss of strength and have little endurance. I also have trouble sleeping. I try walk at least 6-8 miles a week and take a b-complex, vit. C, and flax oil. Is there anything else that might help me to feel better, get the much needed sleep, drop the weight, and regain muscle tone. I am hypothyroid. Guest guest
Hello there! My name is Therese...and, first of all, I just wanted to say, I know how you feel! I just turned 40, weigh more than I ever have in my life and have experienced quite a bit of stress in the past few years! I'm now, once again, trying to get my whole life back in balance and feeling healthier! A few things that I've found helpful include aromatherapy baths, tea, minimizing chaos in my life, focusing on goals and trying some new products like Hawaiian Noni Juice, NewVera, Revenol, Maximol, Natural Progesterone Cream & Life Enhancer. If you're interested in more information on any of these, let me know and I can give you a list of ingredients and specific benefits. Just curious, has anyone else out there tried the Hawaiian Noni Juice? What do you think? --therese Therese Taylor, MSW Making Life Simple Neways Independent Consultantwww.ineways.com/makinglifesimple (734) 484-1797 The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. --Eleanor Roosevelt Take Mail with you! Guest guest
Linda your body is producing a lot of 'cortisol', which is a stress hormone. This stress hormone is released by the adrenals, it's a inflammatory hormone that makes you store fat, destroy your immune system, causing all the symptoms you describe. Cortisol like any toxin or 'trapped blood protein', causes the body to manufacture FAT, the key is to remove the toxins and the fat will leave with it. We can help you lose your weight safely, without drs or drugs. Your also lacking amino acids and magcitrate will help you get some rest. Systemically, you may have something else going on in your system that you are unaware of. If you wish, I need to know more about your condition. You can email me at my web site, and we will discuss a protocol that will correct all of your symptoms. Russ Certified Lymphologist http://www.naturalhealingsolutions.com , " *.+ LWH +*. Guest guest
I wanted to give some ideas about stress reduction techniques.(Sorry I Spell Horrible) I use these because I have horrible stress. I have used sound theropy, aroma theropy, and self hypnosis. For sound theropy, Wal- Mart carries sound cds in the candle isle. You can pick up a great candle and a sound theropy in one shot. You can dim the room you choose to relax in and light a candle and turn on the cd. Listen to the cd at least for a hour. While the cd is playing, try to place yourself in a bubble of comfort. Use self hypnosis to deepen the relaxation. Talk your self into a distant time period, or a location that makes you giggle, or tap into a place that has one thing that makes you happy. Stay there for at least a hour. At night when you have problems sleeping, put a differnet cd in, like a nature cd, and drift away on the sounds of birds or water. Some people use aroma theropy. I haven't mastered this one yet, but I'm still trying. Even the way the you think can change your stress level. I hope these ideas help in some ways. When all else fails, go Yoga. I love yoga. It tones, gives energy, and the meditation is get for centering all your feelings. Keep hope in your heart and let me know if any of these works. --Christina
Guest guest
Therese, That sounds good, we're proud of you for making the effort to CHANGE. You see, this is the biggest obstacle that everyone faces is CHANGE. CHANGE is not easy for people, because we all resist change, but the fact of the matter is if you want your regain your health and bring your body back to homeostasis, it requires CHANGE. The name of the disease really means nothing. Pain, infection, disease, cancer all start at the cellular level, and is all created from a weakend immune system. Disease happens in the body when there is to many toxins in the body. Disease and infection cannot happen with a healthy immune system, the body can and does cure its own diseases, only if the cells are being fed the proper nutrients in order to manufacture powerful lymphocytes, which destroy diseases. Unfortuantely over 80% of Americans are a walking Candida factory, the bad flora is taking over, and they don't even know it. Minerals is what keeps your blood alkaline and keeps bad bacteria from growing. But, if you you have a severe candida infestation, your body will not absorb any kind of nutrients, so the key is to go after the CAUSE. Get rid of the CAUSE, then you don't have the symptoms anymore. Russ/CL , Therese Taylor <mlstlt> wrote: > Hello there! Guest guest
Dear Russ, It is wonderful that Therese changed. Yet, what was her intention for communicating this on the forum? Was it to share her change or to advertise for her Neways products? Of course, all the products that she mentioned conveniently configured themselves into a collage of Neways marketing. Now you know the source of my chuckle. Oh, by the way,.there is no judgment here, just an awareness of what is. Guest guest
I would also recommend meditation, in particular, Transcendental Meditation, which has to be taught - it is remarkable - check the yellow pages near you, and go find out about it - (for free) - the training does cost - and often there are special deals/ and offers for disabled people, etc., so don't be afraid to ask. namaste. God bless you, all you love and all you touch with Peace, Prosperity, Perfect Health, Harmony and Happiness Thomas
Guest guest
Dear friends, I have before mentioned the HU love song to God which you will find is a far more encompassing word to sing than any that will cost you in TM. Yet, each has a purpose in approaching something like this and thus each must follow their own inner guidance as to what will be right for them. I have also posted on the forum how to do this. It is free and available to all individuals of all viewpoints of God. If any have particular questions about this word sung as HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU with the eyes closed and seated in a comfortable position and pronounced as the first syllable in human, I would be happy to respond. Guest guest
Dear Linda I am sorry to hear about your problems. You might be interested in this. Every single one of your problems are addressed in it, I believe. It was copied off another group site. I am not the author of it. Dominic Bere P.S. I like the saying you have put under your name: The limits of the world are the ones you perceive. Profound. More than four years ago Time magazine reported over ten million Americans meditate and since then the number has constantly grown. Once thought of as a ritual performed by men who shaved their heads, wore long robes and lived in a mountain cave, this mind quieting, stress relieving natural self-healing practice is becoming so commonplace that corporations such as Deutsche Bank, Google and Hughes Aircraft recognize the intuitive powers of it and offer meditation classes to their employees. In addition, the scientific community has stepped up to the plate and is offering factual data to support many of the proclaimed benefits of meditation. Studies on the effects meditation has on the brain and body have been going on for quite some time at institutions such as the Brain Imaging Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale and the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Scientific Benefits Clinical findings from the work done at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine show that people who meditate correctly and on a regular basis have produced measurable changes. For instance, eighty percent of hypertensive meditation patients lowered their blood pressure and decreased medications while 16% were able to discontinue using their medication all together. One-hundred percent of patients who suffered with insomnia reported improved sleep from meditating and the majority of them were able to reduce or eliminate sleeping medication. In addition, folks who suffer from chronic pain reduced their physician visits by thirty six percent and open heart surgery patients had fewer post-operative complications, all due to a regular practice of meditation. And, it doesn't stop there. Women also benefit greatly from meditating. Findings concluded that women who experience severe PMS had a 57% reduction in physical and psychological symptoms. And, infertile women who meditate have a 42% conception rate. In addition, these women also showed decreased levels of depression, anxiety, and anger. The research into meditation has also turned up some interesting physical results. Areas of the brain which deal with attention and processing sensory input have been found to actually thicken. Sara Lazar, a psychologist at Harvard Medical School noted, " These increases are proportional to the time a person has been meditating during their lives " . She went on to report, " This suggests that the thickness differences are acquired through extensive practice and not simply due to differences between meditators and non-meditators. " Spiritual Benefits Beyond the scientifically proven results such as reducing stress, relieving anxiety and strengthening the immune system meditation also offers many spiritual benefits. Having the ability to quiet one's mind and retreat to a thought-free state of calmness opens the connection to higher intelligence and greatly enhances problem-solving abilities. In addition, with practice and coaching you can develop the ability to ask pointed questions and receive answers to them through this same dynamic channel. And, tapping into the vast wisdom of the universe doesn't stop there. As you continue to welcome the innate reconnection of your mind, body and spirit, you will naturally begin to take a holistic approach towards healing yourself and living your life. You'll be able to recognize and trust in your true intuitive thoughts as well as increase your ability to remotely detect information and help others in need. All of which allow you to focus on and enjoy the true wonders of life. The Miracles of Meditation Albert Einstein said, " There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is a miracle. " The number of miracles born out of a regular practice of meditation are untold. From loosing weight and quitting smoking, to manifesting more money and physical items, to rekindling relationships and curing terminal diseases, millions of accounts of miracles just like these are attributed to meditation. When you calm your mind and focus on what you want with desire, belief and expectancy, the gates of the universe open up to provide you the fastest and easiest path towards obtaining it. Dynamically Creating Your Future Our universe is based on the Law of Attraction which in the simplest terms states that like attracts like. This means each person on planet earth is equally entitled to the free flowing peace, love, joy, abundance, kindness and generosity it has to offer. It's not a privilege of any sort and it's certainly not reserved for a select few, as our society sometimes leads us to believe. The universe unconditionally provides that which we closely focus our thought and attention on, without exception. Buddha said, " All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become. " Everyone has the means within them to actively participate in manifesting any thing, condition or circumstance they want. The challenge most of us face is how to focus on what we want long enough to have it come to fruition. Meditation is gateway to greater concentration, thought control and intentional manifesting. As Buddha said, " What we think we become " . And, the better we become at holding a clear thought of " what we want " in our mind, the faster it comes. Meditation rules when it comes to dynamically creating your future day after day because of its inherent ability to allow you to concentrate intently on the object of our desire. Over 10 million people use meditation for one simple reason. No matter what you use it for, it works! , " *.+ LWH +*. " <eveapple wrote: > > This past year has been extremely stressful for me.
