It sounds like you had an almost allergic reaction to it, craving it like you did. In that case, you are better off NOT taking any, even the fermented products. Kind of like an alcoholic not taking any booze. As for the weightloss, I have lately made a deliberate effort to stay off the cheese. And I do believe it makes a difference, indeed. So much for Gort's Gouda.... For any cheese loving and dairy tolerating members on this list: Gort's Gouda is unpasteurized quality cheese. Alas, the cows are not grass-fed, just hay and grain in the barn. Cute story: Gort was a Dutch farmer who retired to B.C. I met him in the Hot Springs in Nakusp once. He couldn't find a cheese he liked, so he started making his own. His mother and grandmother had been among the last to make cheese the traditional way on the farm. The rest, as they say, is history.
