Guest guest
Hi everybody, I have been experiencing a chronic constipation for about 4 years now. I don't have a bowel movement except every 3 or 4 days and only with the use of laxatives. I also experience some abdominal pains, bloating and gazes that I think are the sympotoms of IBS. Does anybody know of any alternative medicine for this condition? Is there a special diet that i should follow that will help? Note: I have had many recommendations of stopping laxatives because they are harmfull and they worsen my condition. But the point is i can't. If i don't take laxatives, i don't have a bowel movement. Any help would be appreciated Regards
Guest guest
Hello, You might want to check out the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. This is explained in the book by Elaine Gottschall called " Breaking the Vicious Cycle " . You can get it at Amazon. The author has a website and there are support groups. There's a one called SCDinfo, if you are interested. The website is: www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info Or to join the support group and have access to the files you send an email with the word " join " in the subject line to: scdinfo-owner I hope this helps. Best wishes, Suzan --- msharnoubi <msharnoubi wrote: > Hi everybody, > > I have been experiencing a chronic constipation > for about 4 years > now.
