Guest guest
Rusty, I had a similar problem, mostly with pain in my wrist and then when it worsened, it travelled all the way up my arm especially in the elbow. What made it go away for me was simply not using my mouse for a couple days & minimizing that & my typing for the next couple weeks. My ergonomic keyboard also helps keep it from coming back. I also got a sort of wrist brace. You can get them at drugstores without prescriptions, but they aren't very good. I got a great one with a prescription (don't ask me why this would be a controlled substance), and it keeps your wrist straight so you don't stress your tendons as much. I wore it when sleeping, so I wouldn't jar my wrist, as you described. It also keeps you from curling your hand up as you sleep, so it can have a chance to be straight & heal. Also, since 'itis' means inflammation, you can look for anti-inflammatories. I know this is an alternative list and all, but I took Advil (every 8 hours to maintain a blood level, otherwise it's not nearly as effective) for a few days & that really helped a lot. Rachel Let me climb right through the day, and I will shine maybe some day. -Kitty Snyder
