Guest guest
I had written before about being hypothyroid, and took herbs for it. It took about a month to get to the doctor for blood work, and another month to get the results back. All the symptoms I had were for hypothyroid, but the bloodwork came back for hyperthyroid. I've been taking herbs for hypothyroid since the beginning of March, and don't have the bloodwork from before starting the supplementation. And I'm finally off the Depo-Provera shot, that can throw the results off. So, in the interest of having a benchmark, I'm going back to the doctor for more bloodwork, thyroid and adrenals. I probably won't use anything from the dr, but would like to know the starting point. Some history, I have never been to the dr. except for annual exams, and my kids were born at home with the help of a midwife, so there is no history to work from except going over symptoms. The dr mentioned chronic fatigue, lupus, lyme disease ( I'm in the NE). I have read up on Wilson's thyroid syndrome, and adrenal fatigue syndrome. But am getting the bloodwork so at least we know something and aren't just doing the let's try this today... All that said, I just read in the nutritional healing book that chronic fatigue can be a magnesium deficiency or a virus from sinusitis.
