Guest guest
Hi all, Opinions vary so greatly about the suitable amount of calcium/magnesium/Vit.D combo to take to prevent and/or reverse osteoporosis. I'm at a real loss. I have been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. I am 59 and very thin. The doctor prescribed Fosamax, plus 1500 mgs. calcium. She never mentioned magnesium. I remember reading that the magnesium ratio should be higher; e.g., 500 cal. and 600 mag. I also read that higher doses of magnesium take care of muscle cramps and anxiety, both of which I suffer greatly. Hence, I am taking the Fosamax, 1000 cal/400 mag/500 Vit. D combo for the osteo problem and an extra 400 mag. for the anxiety and muscle cramps. Frankly, I still have a lot of anxiety and profuse hand and foot cramps several times a week. I'm very confused. Your aware responses appreciated. Merlynn
