Guest guest
Hi Judy, Sugar cravings may be sign of a number of physical things – insufficient protein or water – or it may have a non-physical source. Most of the times when I crave sugar it’s because my primary food (what feeds my life) is off target. It could be an indicator of a need for more touch, connection with yourself, connection with others. Some of the questions that come to mind are: Are you fulfilled with what you do for a living? Are your touch and intimacy needs satisfied? Are you engaging your energy creatively? Are you connected to your wants and needs and how to fulfill them? Sometimes the best thing to do is something that expands you. [That’s actually what sugar does – in Traditional it’s recognized as an expansive food (Yin). It could indicate that you have an excess of Yang influences in your life] For me that could be – getting together with a group of like-minded friends, going to a museum, hiking or something in ‘nature’, looking at beautiful things, playing with children, dancing, cooking a great meal, learning something new, writing my morning pages and so on. On the physical side you may want to satisfy your sugar cravings with healthier choices – use agave syrup and/or stevia to sweeten your foods. Applesauce is good and juicing may help. Having a homeopathic dose (just a little bit) may also satisfy your need. There are lots of factors that can go into sugar cravings. Your body has immense intelligence and is trying to create balance in your body. Just put on your explorer’s hat and be playful. No judgment, it’s all a play anyway. J Namaste, Adela Adela M. Guest guest
Dear Judy, Oftentimes, our craving for sugar reflects a systemic pH imbalance. Systemic acidosis is symptomatic of both cellular disorganization and the transmutation of red blood cells to bacteria, yeast, fungus, mould and eventually cancer. Most individuals with sugar cravings also have carbohydrate cravings. There are often blood sugar fluctuations associated with this and many prediabetics move through this cycle as well. What is most intriguing is that the desire for sugar does not originate through cellular requirements in order to maintain organization but rather through the acidic body craving that which will perpetuate the very imbalance within which it exists. As with all things physical, once born or manifested, they seek to perpetuate their existence even if injurious to the very organism within which they live. Guest guest
Judy, Are you on a carb restricted diet? That could be a trigger for your craving or it could be a craving for another type of sugar that actually promotes good health. Have a look at: www.glycoinformation.com or try www.glycoscience.org You might find some answers there. If you have questions I'll be glad to assist you. Guest guest
Cravings are usually your body's way of telling you that there is something it is lacking. Generally, it is best to listen to what your body tells you and then make wise choices to regain balance. Your craving of sugar could mean that the sugar levels in your body are dropping to low and/or the insulin levels are too high. If you have a blood glucose meter, I would suggest that you monitor this for a week or so at various times of the day to see how it runs. Then you may need to change your diet accordingly. [That will not mean to add sugar, but rather to add complex proteins, which will keep the levels more balanced.] If diet alone cannot correct the problem, you would need to see your physician. , " Judy Morris " <judster5@b...> wrote: > Lisa mentioned craving mustard. I am going thru a lot of stress right now but I hate having this craving because I certainly don't need the extra weight!! , " Judy Morris " <judster5@b...> wrote: > Lisa mentioned craving mustard.
