Guest guest
I quit smoking more than 10 years ago and, although the first couple of weeks were horrible, have been doing fine since then. However, I've had an INTENSE craving for cigarettes the last two weeks. I can't understand why. I was able to quit at a time I changed jobs. I usually smoked at work and rarely smoked at home. By changing my environment, it was easier to instill new patterns of behavior. I haven't gone back to my old job or anything like that. In fact, I can't seem to think of any change that would be responsible for this. A friend's theory is that since I'm trying to lose weight, I might be releasing stored toxins that were in some of my fat cells and those toxins are making me crave cigarettes. Any theories here? And, most important, any suggestions for getting rid of them? - Anna

Anything that helps your organs of elimination, especially your liver, to help with the detox progress would be helpful. Lots of water of course, deep breathing, exercise to get the lymphatic system going. From my own store, I would use for that Shipibo Treasure Tea (yum), Envirozon, Fiberzon. From other sources: dandelion, milk thistle, burdock root. Also, any food source that gives you a total, complete profile of minerals, trace minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids and chlorophyll. Lack of nutrients can cause cravings. The most complete food in the world: Aquazon GOOD LUCK in staying the course! Guest guest
dt.6.3.2004 sometimes back i had posted an article `god & food ` on tthe group. you might have seen it. no. of people have left alcohol by offering the drinks to god first. i was also very much habituated to take one mixture of betel nut & tobacco popularly known here as pan masala. i had been taking it for 30 years. i started offering this to god whenever i will purchase a new can. may be god did not like it and one day i stopped taking that. this problem was so acute that even hunger strike of my children for 2 days, my wife abstaining from sex for 15 days, my parents giving me the oath had not cleared. in one case, an alcoholic husband used to come home at around midnight, used to beat her wife and take out her earning also. they were so called poor because of this habit. he was told that yours is a very good habit since all the english people used to have it and you are in a high class society and so to keep up in fashion you must consume. but god has given you a good job, home , friends who accompany you for drinks make the alcohol which you like - so why don`t thank god for all these mercies and offer him the drinks before you consume. he saw reason in that and started offering the same to god, everytime he will order a drink. in around 15 days he started consuming less and was telling the friends to go home early to see one tv serial. in around 45 days, he was drinking only occasionally, coming home at around 7.30 p,m, since time was there - he would spend sometime with his 3 children and started taking interest in their studies. stopped beating wife and taking her money. all this resulted in their standard going up as lot of money was saved and the intimacy in the family was very good. i am sharing this with group. no money is involved except being grateful to god for what he has given you,. in case you have missed this writeup, i can send you one. d.k.kothari - Ieneke van Houten Saturday, March 06, 2004 12:29 AM Re: Question from a former smoker A friend's theory is that since I'm trying to lose weight, I might be releasing stored toxins that were in some of my fat cells and those toxins are making me crave cigarettes.
