Guest guest
A friend had to go to the emergency room Friday night because of excrutiatingly painful intestinal pain. It'd started earlier in the day and felt like cramps but, by night, was unbearable. The ER ran tests, put him on an IV, gave him something for the pain but found nothing. They sent him home but he's still in pain, in his right side. Anyone got any suggestions? - Anna
Guest guest
Anna, There are many many things that can cause abdominal pain. They range in severity from gas (don't laugh..gas bubbles can be exceedingly painful) to intestinal obstruction. With it being on the right side the first things that would pop into my mind are appendicitis, crohn's, gas, constipation, hernia, irritable bowel. Did your friend say they had checked his white count? Is the pain high or low on the right side? What follow-up/after care instructions did they give him when he was discharged from the Emergency Room? Is the pain as severe as before? What medications have been tried? If he has a medical doctor I would recommend a follow-up with them - or- if the pain is still severe a return trip to the ER might be needed. As for home remedies....he could try a gas pill to see if that would help, or some mint tea is good for tummy problems (as is chamomile), sometimes walking (and walking and walking and walking.....) will help with intestinal pains. After I had abdominal surgery I had horrible intestinal pains and only walking helped them to " move along " and go away. Pain is always an indicator that something is not right and should never be taken lightly....I highly recommend speaking with a healthcare professional. Good luck and blessings, Pixi >>aljuarez@z... wrote: > A friend had to go to the emergency room Friday night because of > excrutiatingly painful intestinal pain. Guest guest
The first suggestion is the " Crane Method. " It was developed by, I believe, a Chinese doctor by the name of Crane. I don't know all of the details, but I once read a brochure about his method. The method is: You place your hand on your belly button, not pushing, but gently, you begin to rotate your hand over your abdominal area, beginning at your belly button, and moving outward, clockwise, then, you reverse and start counter clockwise moving back to your original position, at your belly button. He recommended that you do this for at least 60 seconds, while lying flat on your back. He did stress " not " to push down on your abdomen. He stated in his brochure that the heat from your hand, and the circle motion creates a vibration that causes anything, i.e., trapped fat and blockages to gradually make their way out of your body, as the heat from your hand melts the fat away and opens up your intestines to alleviate and remove blockages. Personally, I practice this method faithfully, and I'm down from three stomachs to one and half...so, it works great fat-wise!!! LOL!!! Also, I used to have a lump the size of an orange on the left side of my lower abdomen, which has now been reduced to the size of a large marble. The second thing that I can recommend is: Bay Leaf Tea. According to my mother, it's excellent for trapped gases and air. She's been an herbalist for over 40 years and is quite good at herbal recommendations. She was sick one day, and had me running to the store to get " Laurel, " which I had no clue...LOL!!! So, a friend of hers went with me and pointed it out to me, in the Mexico Foods Section and it was packaged by Hand-D-Pac. Below the word " Laurel, " in parenthesis, it said, " Bay Leaf. " So, to this day, I remember it. It's an excellent tasting tea, and after drinking it, she began to, if you don't mind my saying, burp, and burp, and burp...needless to say...she got to feeling better. I read the other recommendations of Chamomile and Mint, and they are excellent too. - Becky P.S. Culturally, we also do a cleansing with an egg, or transferrence, just in case it's witchcraft. , aljuarez@z... wrote: > A friend had to go to the emergency room Friday night because of > excrutiatingly painful intestinal pain. Guest guest
3.3.2004 i suggest chakra balancing by reiki. when there is excess energy in one place, it causes problems. with chakra balancing, so many problems go. i have excess menstrual discharge, dysentary, irregular period, breathing problems, high bp go away with one or 2 sittings. i use it more frequently for lot of problems. even in depression i have used it with very good effect. d.k.kothari - Becky Escamilla Tuesday, March 02, 2004 11:20 PM Re: Intestinal pain The first suggestion is the "Crane Method."
