I have a friend who's child has this. this is what she sent me: Hannah was born with Spina Bifida (A birth defect) and Hydrocephalus. She's going in for surgery because she has Tethered Cord, which is where the spinal cord has fused with some scar tissue and as she grows it "pulls" on the cord causing it to tether like a rope pulled too tighly would. You need to look for nutrients that will nourish the nervous system, to help it grow and heal to the best of its ability. The earlier this can be started, the better. Essential Fatty Acids are very important for the health of the myelin sheath that surrounds the nerves.
