It's when your body produces antibodies against his own cells, so they attack those cells, rather than against any thing stranger to the body, like bacteria. In this case, it is Antibodies anti DNA. The pain is because one of the forms of the disease is like arthritis. The usual treatment for this is corticoids, wich is immunosuppressive drug, so it makes this auto-antibodies production less. Usually it should be taken all life long. Stopping the treatment can cause very bad increase of the symptoms... Does anybody tried any alternative therapy for this disease. Regards. I still have daily pains and aches for which I take Tylenol or Advil. A stronger pain killer which also helps sleep is Taramol drops. Nevertheless, you should bare in mind that for every individual there is a different treatment, that is why we are given many different types of medication until we find he one most suitable for our condition. Lupus is a very sly sickness. I can only advice you to find a good rheumatologist. I wish them all good luck from the bottom of my heart. Her toe nail had begun to grow out without the fungus to a recognizeable size. The old nail still had the fungus.
