Dear Alternative Answers Members -

Autism One 2004 Conference, May 27 - 30, 2004, Chicago, IL

Autism is an epidemic striking one out of 150 children, 1 in 68

families, up from 1 in 5000 children a decade ago. Autism One is a

conference which embraces a complementary and alternative approach to

treating autism.

Some of the world's leading homeopaths are presenting at Autism One,

including Amy Lansky, John Melnychuk, Dr. Paul Herscu, Dr. Amy

Rothenberg, Dr. Barbara Brewitt, Dr. John Hicks, Dr. Denise Tarasuk,

and Dr. Sarkar. Each has achieved remarkable success in treating

children with autism.

Amy Lansky is the author of Impossible Cure, the book that chronicles

how she saved her son from autism using homeopathy. John Melnychuk is

Amy's homeopath. Drs. Herscu and Rothenberg are very well known and

respected; their book on treating autism with homeopathy will be

published in April. Dr. Barbara Brewitt is the Chief Scientific

Officer for BioMed and is doing research in homeopathic recombinant

human growth hormone (hGH) and growth factor. Dr. John Hicks, MD a

traditional allopathic practitioner who has begun incorporating

homeopathy in his practice. Dr. Denise Tarasuk practices homeopathy

in the framework of Ayurvedic Medicine. Dr. Sarkar is in charge of

infectious diseases for India.

One often overlooked aspect of autism is that our children get all

the same illnesses and bumps and bruises every other child gets. The

difference is our children can't take antibiotics, aspirin, or most

over-the-counter drugs. Homeopathy can help, not only treating the

autism, but with these everyday bruises and illnesses as well.

We also have leading experts presenting on Traditional Chinese

Medicine, cranial sacral therapy, naturopathic, chiropractic, and

other holistic treatments.

Below please find an overview of our conference.

The Most Comprehensive Conference on Autism Ever Assembled

Autism One 2004, the most comprehensive conference on autism ever

assembled, will be held May 27 - 30, 2004, in Chicago. It is a

conference for parents and professionals for the care, treatment, and

recovery of children with autism. For more information please visit

our web site at http://AutismOne.org.

The conference organizers are themselves parents of children with

autism. Parents are, and must remain, the driving force of our

community. The issues are too sacred and the stakes too high to

delegate to outside interests.

Keynote Address - Congressman Dave Weldon, MD

Congressman Dave Weldon, MD will deliver the keynote address. Dave

Weldon, a physician by training, has been for the past several years,

and continues to be, one of the autism community's staunchest

supporters on Capitol Hill.

More than 100 Presentations - World's Leading Authorities

Autism One features many of the world's leading researchers,

educators, practitioners, agencies, and parents. Featuring over 100

speakers including such experts as Dr. Boyd Haley, Dr. William Walsh,

Dr. Jeff Bradstreet, Dr. Andy Wakefield, Dr. Sudhir Gupta, and Dr.

rights when dealing with school districts, the best ways to handle

insurance companies, how to petition government agencies, along with

a host of other pressing issues. In addition, leading

parent-advocates and autism organizations will be on hand to present

and inform.

Special Conference Prep Day

Autism One is even more comprehensive with a special Conference Prep

lofty ideas and practical everyday applications.
