Update: Hearing loss has cleared up! :-)

Posted a few days ago about hearing loss....I have my hearing back

about 80% of the time....I have fluid in my ear when I first get up

in the morning and when I lie down at night....hoping for 100%

recovery soon!

I missed the first part of this thread. What did you do to clear it up.

 

My wife has 100% hearing loss in her right ear. We had some good results in the past with Vinpocetene, but now it doesn't seem to work.

Someone told me once that her son's hearing loss (from too much loud music) was reversed by a series of ear candling treatments. I've also known people who said their chronic sinus problems were cured by ear candling. Does anyone know more about ear candling?

I've done it.  It's good to do periodically.  It simply removes the built up wax and stuff.

 

I can't see how it could have reversed damage caused by loud music though... Unless the buildup was some sort of body's reaction to protect the ears.  Or perhaps the removal of the buildup promoted healing in some way.

Could you please enlighten me on what is ear candling. Is it something to do with removing wax build up?

I am under the impression that many kids have a serious wax problem because the ear naturally builds up the wax volume to protect the drum brom the violent sound vibrations.

I remember getting excessive wax in my ears working around very noisy indistrial equipment for 8-16 hours a day.

Any info gfrom anyone would be appreciated.

It involves special ear candles that are hollow. You stick it in your ear and light it up. The flame creates a vaccuum inside the candle which gently and safelysucks the ear wax out.

Linda, it might help.

But you also have to ask yourself:

what is wrong with your system, that

you get an ear infection every 8-12 weeks?

 

Do you have other symptoms of candida?

Do you take antibiotics for the ear infection?

 

If so, do you use PRObiotics afterwards?
