That's why I joined this group. I am especially è interested in homeopathy. I have heard of a è homeopathic remedy called carcinosinum for helping è to calm down the nervous system. I like to learn all I è can about the various remedies which cross my path. è Does anyone know anything about this remedy or è where I might research it? *****Sharon as you found out Benzo's are the worst addictive drug you can come off of.....Congrats for getting off them.....as I'm sure you found out that when you quit Benzo's cold turkey you can suffer with grand-mal seizures, hallucinations, rapid heart beat and many many other horrible things, then given you age, WOW lady I commend you for your efforts and success..... *****You didn't say where you were from?? I live in Arizona in the Phoenix area (actually Sun City)......I go to a Homeopathic MD in Scottsdale, Arizona....I have gone to him since 1977.....The man is God send.....people come from all over the USA to see this doc.....he is AWESOME..... I'm a retired nurse (on disability) and when the allopathic docs damn near killed me this doctor literally saved my life. In fact on 4 occassions he has saved my life. He was the "ONLY" doctor who diagnosed the aspartame poisoning, which was the beginning of all my health problems.... With Systemic Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Sjogrens, COPD, Asthma, Mediastinal Adenopathy (lungs) and a host of other things, I was not the easiest patient to treat. Of course, I have had to pay for all the modalities, etc., etc., but let me tell you, if not for him I would be dead. I just recently had two tumors removed from the right side of my neck and one was wrapped (coiled) down around the cartoid artery.......The day I was discharged from the hospital I beat it to my Homeopathic and had some IV's to help detox the anesthetic from my body.....I felt 1000 times better after two of these IV's. If there is anyway you could travel to Scottsdale, Arizona it would be worth EVERY penny.....If you can't let me know where you live and I can ask him if he knows of anyone in your area. We are lucky here in Arizona as alternative/complimentary medicine is state wide. We have a homeopathic medical board, which alternative/complimentary medicine is governed by. Although, alternative medicine is not totally accepted here in Arizona, our County hospital now offers Reiki (grants were awarded for our burn unit) and "pain units" and we have accupuncture and aromatherapy, which is offered also to indigent patients.....Residents are offered a rotation through the University of Tucson (Dr Weil) and of course when every resident treated me, they had to listen to my preaching....<giggle> However, I was pleased with what many of them had to say about their rotation.....:-)))) Didn't mean for this to be so long, but wanted you to know that your choice to seek alternative/complimentary medicine is a very wise choice....as I teach and preach to all "YOU are in charge of your healthcare journey" and a doctor is merely a member of YOUR team.....Do NOT be afraid to fire a doctor....in the last 10 years I have fired 5 doctors from my team. One doc even went so far as to tell me I couldn't fire him....LOL Of course, that was the wrong thing to say to me as he got a lecture he wasn't ready for....lol (he was a vascular surgeon, does that tell you anything.???) You have taken a very important step in your healthcare journey by seeking alternative/complimentary medicine....if there is anything I can help you with let me know and I will do my best.....I have a library packed full of research on alternative treatments....
