Guest guest
For those in the NY & DC area I offer information on 2 workshops run by a fascinating trainer, Charlie Badenhop, www.seishindo.org. Joel NYC Using your body to change your mind Have you ever noticed how talking to yourself or a client, about making changes in one's life, often does not get high quality results? Have you tried to find a way to control or influence the subconscious, only to find that the subconscious seems to have a mind of its own? How is it that " I " can seem to want something so badly, while at the same time, " I " seem incapable of getting what I want? In Seishindo we work from a model which finds that: • Our emotional experience is based upon a complex series of interactions that take place in our body. It is only after our emotional experience reaches our brain, that our experience is translated into verbal language. • The body " thinks " in terms of oxygen flow, energy flow, flexibility, movement, and shape.. The cognitive self translates the body's " thoughts " into words. • The body speaks a language that is as sophisticated, complex, and complete as our verbal language, and indeed our verbal language is derived from the language of our body. The verbal grammar that forms the basis of our native tongue, is generated from the somatic grammar that is universal to all human beings. • To generate long term change in the way one thinks, it is important to concurrently generate changes in the way one uses their body. If you want to be able live in a more creative, emotionally fulfilling manner, you will find this demonstration opens you up to a new experience of yourself that is inspiring and solution oriented. If you are interested in new and effective tools for helping others; If you want to discover alternative methods for achieving high quality results with challenging clients; If you want to explore how nonverbal interventions can be of great benefit, you are likely to find this demonstration useful, thought provoking, and highly informative.
