Guest guest
Hi Claudia, My father had strep in the past and he figured he had it again. But he couldn't go to the doctor for 3 weeks. So I made the following recipes. (borrowed recipes) He didn't use the throat spray but he gargled and used the massage oil religiously. I didn't make the steam inhalation. He said he felt better. He goes to the doctor Monday. I can't wait to see what the results are and if he really did have strep and got better. Soar throat gargle 1 drop each of geranium, lemon and sage essential oil 1 TBLS. Cider vinegar 1 TSP. Honey 1 cup water Heat water to lukewarm so that the honey will readily dissolve. Add cider vinegar, essential oils, and honey to warm water. Gently stir to blend. Pour a small amount into a glass and gargle with this as long as you can. Gargle 3 times a day. Pour the unused portiion into a clean, dark glass bottle. Gently shake before each use. Throat Spray: ½ cup chamomile herb tea. (or 1 drop of chamomile essential oils in ½ cup of water) 1 TBLS apple cider vinegar 2 drops feranium essential oil 1 drops each of sage, lemon, and tea tree essential oil. If brewing actual tea, be sure to strain so that there are absolutely no leaves to clog the nozzel of the sprayer. Brew tea, add vinegar. Add essential oils and honey. Stir well. Cool. Pour into a spray bottle (glass...dark). Shake well before each use. Spray directly into the back of the throat 1 or 2 times. DO NOT OVERUSE. This is medicine than the throat gargle! Use 3 time a day......DO NOT EAT OR DRINK FOR 15-20 MINUTES AFTER USING. Steam Inhalation: 3 drops lavender 2 drops chamomile 1 drop thyme Pour 2 cups of steaming hot water into a bowl.
