Guest guest
Saw interesting programTere Mere Beach Mein by host Farah Khan wiht Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor - on wight issues. http://www.businessofcinema.com/news.php?newsid=14496 Beating the bulge or weighty issues is the theme on which Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor reveal their secrets to Farah. The celebrity guests speak about their struggle being overweight. Karan weighed 120 kilos and Sonam weighed 90 kilos at their worst and they talk about how they overcame their weight problems, the difficulties they faced and also about how society puts certain conditions and pressures as far as one's physical appearance is concerned. Sonam says, "I was depressed when I went to boarding school at the age of 15. I was the only Indian girl in my school in Singapore. There was plenty of junk food and mum had stopped all chocolates at home. Here, I was free and ate and I also gained weight due to hormonal imbalances. I went from 50 kilos to 90 kilos in just four months. I gained 40 kilos. I used to eat one pint icecream, two large pizzas alone and instead of three meals would have 10 meals a day. My mum started crying seeing me."
Guest guest
Couple of observations from Sonam's statement: I was depressed when I went to boarding school at the age of 15. 1. Stress can lead to overeating and hence overweight. We need to control our mind to be able to control our weight. I was the only Indian girl in my school in Singapore. 2. Loneliness can cause depression and lead to disease. There was plenty of junk food and mum had stopped all chocolates at home. Here, I was free and ate and I also gained weight due to hormonal imbalances. 3. We misuse freedom that we get and eat what we have been warned not to eat. I went from 50 kilos to 90 kilos in just four months. I gained 40 kilos. 4. Weight can gain at a fast pace and takes lots of effort to remove. I used to eat one pint icecream, two large pizzas alone and instead of three meals would have 10 meals a day. 5. Junk food should be avoided at all cost.
