Guest guest
Hi Kathe! I have been taking malic acid for the past several years for this. Do you have fibromyalgia? Malic acid has been shown to positively affect lactic acid in people with fibromyalgia. I have found a few other things that help so let me know if you are interested if it is fibromyalgia that you struggle with. Guest guest
LACTIC ACID(also known as ANAEROBIC[( relating to energy processes that occur in the absence of oxygen)glycolysis] :is produces by the muscles when you are trying to run too fast for too long. (1)PROCESS OF LACTIC ACID:The whole process takes place within the muscle, where GLYCOGEN( converted glucose for storage. Glycogen plays a role in controlling blood sugar levels)is converted into PYRUVIC ACID(a colorless acid formed as an important intermediate in metabolism or fermentation) .When in the absence of OXYGEN,this is joined With HYDROGEN,energy is produced through the breakdown of the glycogen,in the process known as GLCOLYSIS(A process in which glucose (sugar) is partially broken down by cells in enzyme reactions that do not need oxygen. Glycolysis is one method that cells use to produce energy). .. (2)Before the LACTIC ACID levels rise to a process in which glucose (sugar) is partially broken down by cells in enzyme reactions that do not need oxygen. Glycolysis is one method that cells use to produce eneroint where the muscles can no longer work properly. Afterwards, the removal of the remaining lactic acid can be accelerated bt the light aerobic execise,su ch as warm up down jog. EXAMPLE: For 400 & 800 metre runners, regular training act speed & distances which create lactic acid will help to improve the body's tolerance of pain & ability to breakdown lactic acid more efficiently.
