Guest guest
One needs to look at the words with an attitude of transformation and only then one finds in them the recipe for transformation, says Swami Sukhabodhananda We live in conclusions, opinions and dogmas… and they become our philosophy of life. Philosophy means a view of life. Then we justify this view of life by logic and we sharpen this logic to prove that it is right. We are thus sharpening our logic and not the quality of life. One can be logical and at the same time very unintelligent. Be it logic or opinions or beliefs or conclusions they are nothing but words. We give our lives for these words. Words therefore are more real than life. We have made words valuable but life cheap. This is the history of humanity. To change these words one need to look at these words with an attitude of transformation and only then one finds in the words the recipe for transformation. Think of the name of the God whom you worship. See this name soaked in love and then chant the name. Let the chant slowly merge in silence. After a few chants, stop and look at these words deeply and completely. See the word is nothing but a sound. You give meaning to a sound and that sound/s becomes a word. The word then acquires a meaning based on your perception and what you have learnt over the years. The word now has a rigid structure and becomes your view point, your opinion, your conclusion. Be aware then you worship this view point and make it your religion. It becomes the philosophy which you believe, a philosophy which defines your place in the world, in the universe and your relationship with the universe. In the beginning it was just a sound on which you have built vertically, like a tower. Go deeper and you will find every sound is indeed nothing but feelings (nada). Go deeper and you will find these feelings exist in nothingness. Be in this silence or nothingness and you will find your absence is your true presence. Finally it is silence which is the basis of words. Being in silence is true meditation.
