Guest guest
" toujourstoijamais " <gpatruno1 -------- A number of recent posts have referred to the role of vitamin C and its ability to kill viral infections. The amounts necessary to do this have been high - 75,000 to 150,000 miligrams. The pills, capsules, and even powders of vitamin C I've seen contain a maximum of 5,000. How does one go about ingesting these amounts? Are there more potent forms of the vitamin available? Thanks to anyone who can answer these questions. Guest guest
Isn't the type of vitamin C you take a personal preference? Why take chewable when you are familiar with so many of the wonderful powders? If you get tired of trying all the powders you might try dried cayenne pepper. Cayenne contains vitamin C. I have found it to be very helpful. I purchase the dried powder in bulk at the Whole Earth Center. It's cheap! If I'm out of cayenne and need some quick I'll use McCormick brand from any supermarket. It comes in a small plastic shaker bottle (which can of course be reused) It's not bad. Hope you get some good answers to your question. Guest guest
My 2 favorite are: C-Salts http://www.nutri.com/wn/whchc.html#c-s and Nature's Best http://drbenkim.com/natural-vitamin-c-benefits.htm Time and space aren't quite as they seem... just magical props in a magical dream. _____ On Behalf Of Marci Does anyone know what the best form of vitamin c is to take? I prefer the powder/crystals and the chewable for my son but there are so many different kinds--absorbic acid, sodium absorbate, calcium absorbate, etc...what kind is the best? Keep in mind that I want something as natural as possible with no wheat, preservatives, preferable vegetarian kind-you get the picture. Thanks you all. Guest guest
Marci, You local health food store rep should be able to help you with that. Do you have the Balch book. Presciption for Nutritional healing? If not get one they are a must have. Powder Vitamin C is best for potency but, be careful you can give yourself the runs if you take to much. But usually that won't hurt you, its just a way of telling that you are taking to much and backing off by 1000 MGS should stop it. Guest guest
Just a note about ascorbic acid. Do NOT purchase ascorbic acid tablets and never take chewable ones. You need to purchase vitamin C, or better yet eat an orange. Ascorbic acid is only a part of the whole vitamin. Susan Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr. We'll help. Small Business.
