OT: Back On Line (Sorta) and New E-mail Address

Howdy y'all,

 

John Croskey sent a message to all the News Groups and our customer list a few

days ago advising that my PC had crashed. But possibly someone here didn't get

that message.

 

It was more than a simple crash .. my PC locked up tighter than a gnat's butt

stretched over a wagon wheel .. can't get into anything that was on the old PC

and I'll be sending it to our PC dude in Maryland to work out all the kinks.

 

Meantime I bought another PC .. but I can't get into my Gmail account because I

set up the passwords, etc., many years ago and have long since forgotten them

and in order to prove its my account and give me entry Gmail wants a history

that I yet to be able to provide to a degree that satisfies them .. I'm still

trying.

 

The point is .. I am now changing all of my News Group accounts (like this

one) to my other address .. ButchOwen

 

If in the last week or so you have sent mail to ButchOwen you did not

receive a reply because I can't access that account .. for now. So please send

it again to the new E-mail address.

 

Been a tough few days lately but not unmanageable.

 

Shadow is now a three laig kat .. he came home last Sunday with both bones

broken in his right hind leg. On Monday the vet said it could not be fixed so

he had to amputate. Shadow is a tough critter .. an outside kat but now he's

getting lots of TLC inside .. he sleeps on Tanya's lap when she watches TV.

I've been running back and forth to a chiropractor due to getting old and worn

out. After 30 years of abuse of my body I had arthritis when I retired from the

Army in 1989 but it has developed into what they wanna call Advanced

Degenerative Osteo Arthritis in the spine. Getting old is not for wimps. My

neck is going outta whack and I gotta get it back into a tolerable condition

afore Wild Turkey season opens in early April. The straw that broke the

camel's back (should say that screwed up my neck 'again') was playing horse with

Alexander .. letting him ride on my shoulders. He turned 4 years old

yesterday and I have not yet learned how to tell him NO .. but I am getting

there. ;-)

 

I tried to figure a way to say the following without it being an ad but I'm not

smart enough to do that. We had a Rose Absolute sale and it is now closed and

we have made our order to Turkey but I suspect that some folks ordered to my

Gmail account and I was not able to access it .. if that was the case .. get

with me again at the new address mentioned above.

 

Truth is .. those past few days I was off line were quite peaceful and I got a

heckuva lotta work done on the home front. Surprising it is how much time we

can spend in front of a PC without noticing and how much free time we have when

the machine goes down. ;-)
