Hey all,

I am giving a little safety talk to a few Reiki practitioners this

weekend. (Reiki is an energy healing modality.) These folks want to

anoint themselves and their clients with EO's. I am pushing for

appropriate dilution rates.

I was thinking about a blend with frankincense. All ideas welcome.

Thanks,

Christina

Hi Christina,

Whenever I am working on an energetic level, I use a very diluted synergy, 1% or

even lower

Cheers

I share with a very acomplished group of Reiki practioners. We almost always use

Lavender on our hands in a small amount (dilute as you see safe). Most people

like Lavendar and it is calming. It works out very well, but we do not anoint

ourselves or the people we are working on.

In my own meditation or " self work " I often use a mix of 2 Frankincense, 2

Myrrh, 1 Sandalwood (Au), 1 Juniper Berry, in a JoJoba Oil Base. It is a great

medative mix but the mix doesn't keep even in JJ Oil and it makes me feel less

present, I wouldn't use it before working on someone else. Maybe in an ultra

dilute so the fragranrance is just very very slight.

Our group will sometimes smudge with White Sage and that has a nice effect but

realy bothers some people.

A Cedar and Lavendar smudge is also very nice.

This is feedback based on my direct experience in Reiki Shares and Circles.

Take Care,

Lou

Thanks, Jeanine and Lou. The workshop went great today, and I took along

your feedback.

The whole annointing thing worked out well. I had some Fragipani-scented

Monoi de Tahiti in the back of the fridge, from a co-buy a few years back.

I heated it and blended with an equal part of fractionated coconut oil.

Worked out great. I forgot how much I like that stuff.

Cheers,

Christina
