Guest guest
Howdy Carol, Gonna answer this one afore I take my late afternoon nap. Since I was a yonker I never took naps but now that I am fooling myself into thinking I am retired .. I take a 30-45 minute Power Nap every afternoon. Hi all, > I’ve been lurking in the background following the healthy debates of late. > They are healthy for sure .. sometimes a little rough and tumble depending on how one looks it at or how vested their interests are in the subject .. but healthy they are .. I think. > Have a query on oily marks on a painted wall. I’ve a lovely handprint of > mine in almond and grape seed oil which I just can’t get out, is there a > magic formula or can I just paint over it. Any thoughts or advice > appreciated thanks in advance. > Been there a couple of times. Its gonna depend on the type of wall. When I lived in Turkey we had plaster walls even in the kitchen and sometimes grease would splatter onto the wall .. if that happens you just chip out some plaster and then fill it in .. and repaint. If the wall is paneled or wood .. rubbing the marks with soapy water will generally do the job .. I do not recommend bleach. If its wall board this might work .. might not. Sometimes with wall board you must paint the area with an undercoat paint then when its real dry .. paint it the natural color. If they are wall papered .. forget it and live with it or change that strip of paper. Here are some tips that might work .. I can not say. http://lifestyle.iloveindia.com/lounge/how-to-remove-wall-stains-503.html > I do enjoy your tales Butch fishy or no. > You mean you don't believe my fish stories? You really think a fisherperson would tell a tall tale? Lemme tell you a story I know is true cause my Cajun buddy down in Louisiana swore it was and when a fisherman swears something is the truth .. you oughta believe him. Boudroux told me: " One day I took my pirogue and went to check 'dem crawdad traps. As I was paddlin around dat ol cypress stump, sometin reched up and flipped my boat. At dat time I din know if I was mo scared or mo mad but I grapped holt of whut had my boat and pulled real hard. My pappy saw me fighting dis ting and he trowed me a rope. I grapped dat rope and he pulled me to da bank. We pulled up whut I had a holt of and it was da biggest crawdad I ever done saw. We brought it to da house and boiled it. Don't you know dat crawdad fed 27 people. > Carol > Y'all have a good one .. and keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com <http://www.av-at.com/> .. Rose Absolute Sale closes Sunday night.
