I don't normally comment on posts that don't contain blatant unsafe

information .. but I'm gonna comment now. ;-)

I'm not afraid of Facebook or any other social networking site .. but I

don't like them and I don't play on their fields. Somewhere long ago I

must have joined Facebook cause they keep sending me notices that folks

wanna be friends and such .. but I don't even know how to get in .. don't

know my password and don't wanna find out. Most likely I joined way back

afore I was married .. maybe early one morning while I was under the

affluence of inkohol.

Social networking is probably a good business tool but I have not found it

necessary to do it on a social networking site. Since 1995 I have

networked with a few thousand folks .. still do .. off line every day .. and

prior to me selling AVNP to John Croskey on 1 October 2009, we had earned

customers and friends in 50 U.S. states and 91 other countries .. and the

beat goes on.

If you discount the message because of problems with the messenger that is

your loss .. but assuming that " many others " do the same is an incorrect

assumption regarding the opinions of others. Those who can say that Martin

has not done much for this industry are few.

 

Folks who really know Martin well .. and many do .. would agree that he is a

little rough around the edges but they pay no attention to that. If you

wanna see a rainbow .. you gotta stand a little rain.

I don't know yet. I guess if Martin stops calling anyone who disagrees with him

abusive names, then maybe I can take a little credit. Only time will tell.

Certainly the gentle, subtle approach hasn't had any positive effect.

Ha, that makes me laugh, seen that one many times and do not give a hoot. If we

had a few more honest people in this trade who are prepared to call a spade a

spade, or a con artist a con artist, it might have been a bit cleaner than it

is.

 

For your interest, on the old IDMA newsgroup, I had violent disagreements with

some, but rarely resorted to name calling. Some of them called me a few though.

 

Politeness never got anyone anywhere as far as standards are concerned.

Political correctness just panders to those with weak minds. If someone is

unable to absorb facts just because they don't like the giver, then they have a

big problem with a locked-up brain.

So there you have it, Butch. I knew when I posted that Martin would not take

offense to me expressing my opinion on his use of abusive language directed

toward others. Just calling it as I see it (not a fan of the other saying!!)

Yes, you probably don't remember me but I was there as well.
