Guest guest
You guessed it: I'm wondering if anyone has had success with treating bursitis (hips in this case) with EOs? I guess the general criteria would be reducing inflammation that's lying under deep layers of muscles, tendons, and ligaments. I'm looking for more sustainable alternatives to ibuprofen and NSAIDs. Guest guest
Ann, Got the gravest doubts that essential oils would do anything for that condition as not enough can penetrate the skin. You would do better to investigate herbal preparations such as witch hazel extract (not the distilled stuff). Look up astringents in a good Herbal. At least these have a fighting chance of getting some skin penetration, but will tighten up tissues from the surface. Guest guest
I know epsom salt soaks are helpful for muscle aches....is it something that would be helpful for that reduction of inflammation you're seeking? I vaguely remember briefly discussing bursitis in massage school, but have not dealt with it at all...I'd have to look through my texts. No clue on EO assistance with it. Just thought I'd chime in these two " pennies " of thought. Jessica, NC Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®
