Both great for the respiratory system.... With the resp blends I've used on my kids (especially for what we now believe was spasmodic croup) I had better results with ravensara than with ravintsara. And I heard via hearsay that ravintsara was better for shingles and gentler on the skin than ravensara. Anybody have better references? Anybody have better >references? references are really hard to find, because for years people sold (and wrote well respected books) listing ravensara aromatica, but were really discussing RavINTsara. Supplier mislabled, out of ignorance, authors wrote, out of ignorance. I can quote several examples in well known books. For general anti-viral effects, we use both, in combination. for shingles, in adults, we have had wonderful results with true ravENsara aromatica, so still recommend that, but for children or people with very sensitve skin, I'd go with ravINTsara. either or both, in calophyllum work wonders for shingles, and for herpes flareups. for more information about the confusion: http://www.naturesgift.com/Ravensara-Ravintsara.htm Since 1995 - supplying Aromatherapy and Healthcare Professionals Website: http://www.naturesgift.com Blog: http://naturesgiftaromatherapy.blogspot.com/ Facebook:http://www.facebook.com/NaturesGift
