Guest guest
Hi Sylla, Hope you pick this up while on vacation and it does not spoil it. I see very little changed. The only reason people keep NAHA alive is as a sales medium and so members running courses can offer their students a membership organisation. It even still includes those people who caused all the major problems in the past. Any honest organisation who experienced the kind of problems NAHA had, would have shut down and started afresh with new leaders. NAHA leaders chose not to take the reputable course. It takes ads from companies providing illegal medicinal claims for their oils, but with of course NAHA cover-your-back weasel clauses. That is a dishonest way of raising funds. One example: http://www.essentialwholesale.com I have left IN only the wrong physical condition claims: " Cypress Essential Oil (Cupressus sempervirens) varicose veins, hemorrhoids,*** This is the action of the herb. menstrual problems,**** Like what? fibroids, excess bleeding, cancer perhaps? fluid retention, cellulite, **** beauty trade hype to get sales. Astringent,**** CRAP typical aromatherapy novel mistake!! antibiotic. **** No essential oil is an antibiotic. Reduces excess sweating and overly oily complexions. *** The action of the herb. stimulates cell regeneration.**** Beauty therapy hype to get sales from gullible people. may increase pancreatic stimulant, *** Dangerous and wrong. decongest prostate " .******** Dangerous nonsense and so wrong. The same old tired crap based on the use of the herb NOT the essential oil. With most of these attributes taken out of old aromatherapy books. Martin Watt ATFE , " Sylla S. Hanger " <sylla wrote: > > >>>Martins further comments only too painfully remind me of past history and > further developments with NAHA and the fact that they are still perhaps > respected by the uninformed in spite of their many failings and > deterioration. I resent negative judgemental comments on either org (as a member of both), especially from non members of either. THIS IS ALL WE HAVE for gathering, sharing, networking, and all the complaints you have about either can surely be addressed without attacking and derogatory comments. > > NAHA has come a long way since some folks left; and a lot of the earlier issues were changed long ago with the change of leadership as you should well know. Kelly Holland Azzarro has done a fabulous job first by listening and implementing a lot of new policies as VP, and now as President she is tightening up the educational approval requirements as well, and such things as advertisers/articles using the 'therareutic' notation for grading, etc. and anything resembling multi level companies, etc. I have continued on as Chair of the Safety committee, with input from Tony Burfield we have done a lot of good work, availible to public on undiluted use, etc; we are collecting data on injuries and the site hosts a ton of wonderful articles on all subjects, not to mention they are the continued single supporter spreading the word in support of the UAE (since 2001), their press releases produce results. Finally they are the clearing house for info, anyone seeking info on aromatherapy ends up on the site-we get a lot of interview requests, we answer a lot of questions, and do a lot of good. > > I don't want to argue about anything. Guest guest
Hello Martin Nothing could spoil my vaca and having some time with my Jim, having my eyes opened about Afghanistan and appreciating life. !! Of course you still pick on the little things that NAHA has no control, what member companies say on their oils - for Gosh sake naha is not the POLICE!! and they have nothing to do with what people put on their sites and cannot patrol that, no organization can or will, so you could pick on them all day long for that and continue your rampage. Again Im not here to argue but if you have a beef, dont single out any one org because any org that supports companies will have those that make those claims. NAHA has taken a stand on many issues, such as undiluted use and making use of the term therapeutic in articles. Tony and Kendra did such a swell article on that, btw, so if you want to pick out all the companies that are members, and all the schools go ahead and focus on that. There is lots more on the site, journals and e-classes of value, but of course you overlook all the good stuff to make your point, this is how you work. True, it will take some time to make all the changes you suggest, there is no reason to shut down a perfectly good org because Martin Watt disagrees!!. Again, we have had new leaders for a long time and slowly things are changing; Im sorry you can only look for nit picking negative things to keep your side up, it is OK I am used to your ways but Im not picking up my end of the rope here!! have a great day Sylla One example: http://www.essentialwholesale.com I have left IN only the wrong physical condition claims:
