Hey Kathleen,

Didn't figure that would bother you. ;-)

A good law it is .. we don't need wholesale slaughter of wild game for a

commercial market. There is only one wild game in TN that can be sold ..

Catfish .. by commercial fishermen.

Forget the archer .. get a license and harvest your own next year.

I expect so .. but that is fine with me. Actually, I eat far less meat

now than I used to .. I eat more veggies and fish. We get smoked hams and

whole hog sausage from an organic farmer .. a Mennonite. He raises the

hogs and the grain that feeds them.

LOL, Butch, I had an old boyfriend from 50 years ago come back into my life

this year. It's been a hoot. He lost his wife to cancer 2 years ago. He's

now living in Oregon and came up to visit Rob and I last summer. We had a

nice dinner party and I'm trying to hook him up with my single friend Micki.

So, is it time for an aromatherapy-old-farts t-shirt? Ya think.

Dear Butch,

Hi there! Thank you for your hunting treatise. It was great! My husband got

to my emails before I did and told me to read what you had written about

hunting. I think that he " visits " my emails at this time of the year just

to see when you will write something about your hunting. He and I both

agreed that you are correct about hunting. This past November my husband

got one deer and his hunting partner got another. They were lucky because

you are so right about the deer and the turkeys smelling the hunters and

vamoosing. The one think nice that happened was that we got some wonderful

pictures of the wild deer, turkeys, hogs, rackcoons (sliding down the deer

feeders), and hogs. We butcher and package our deer ourselves. Like you, we

will be out of venison before next season starts. Venison is great and one

of the healthiest meats that you can eat. I think that in our 30 plus years

of marriage I have learned to cook venison more than 50 ways and I am still

getting new recipes. This year will be start our garden as soon as the

weather permits in North Texas. Today we had nearly 70 degrees while this

coming week we are going back to winter weather.

It is good that you are teaching Alex the rules of hunting early. It will

stay with him always. Rupert taught our son and now it is coming into good

stead with him in the Marines.

Enjoy your friends' 50th wedding aniversary and especially them giving your

beautiful wife the once over. lol.

I'm also glad that you are still doing the rose eo.

Keep up the hunting. Remember if you ever get this far South to Texas, drop

us an email and ya'll come by to stay for a few days. We will treat you to

Venison filet mignon Texas style.
