Guest guest
Wow! Marcia you hit on it about the database! Myself, I would dearly love to see one that lists all the accurate perfume notes regarding essential oils. But, the herb one would be wonderful to have too! Course then it would probably have folks fighting as to what should go on it or questioning facts. tee hee Teas, there are hundreds of them. Alto I dearly love a nutcracker tea, it's probably not as healthy as a Green Tea. Love a Black tea too, but there again, they are supposed to not be as healthy as green tea. Have a book on Green Tea and it kinda goes back and forth as to whether it is as healthy as touted. Gotta love authors. <grin> Green Teas are supposed to have anti-oxident protection, etc., but who knows what will be proved tomorrow. Have one elderly friend who loves and advocates Gunpowder Green Tea. Most of the teas result in how the tea leaf is treated after picking, the purest would probably be the Gunpowder and non fermented Green Tea. The darker a tea is depends on what fermentation process happens too it. Myself, I tend to want a flavor added to green tea, so I will do 3/4ths green tea and blackberry together to have a bumped up flavor. There is also Darjeeling, white tea, and every thing in between. Onhand I have a Pear flavored white tea, Chami which is a herbal Rooibos tea, Raspberry Green Tea, Ginseng Tea, Thai Chai, and the list goes on and on. A great thing to do is find a good tea shoppe, even if it is coffee too, and browse to your hearts content, buy a bit of several of the loose teas and sample them to your hearts desire and decide which you like the best. If you find you like a hint of flavor added to the Green Tea, then used some dried fruit to flavor it to keep it away from herbs that you might not can have. Enjoy the tasting adventure! Marcia, I can see you in my minds eye that this year you will be letting those oats get a bigger before juicing them. Cheers! My best to you all, deb

It's still a work in progress, not complete (also includes plant identification info, history, aromatherapy/herbal uses, safety) . . . Don't forget that perfume descriptions are going to be subjective; no one smells things exactly the same, nor describes it the same even if they do. Hoping it to be a comprehensive resource after it's all done. Bibliography will be in the resources section to see all of the references I'm using (not up there yet). here's an example: http://tinyurl.com/yalbqw9 Be Well, Marcia Elston, Samara Botane/Nature Intelligence http://www.wingedseed.com http://www.wingedseed.blogspot.com http://www.aromaconnection.org " We make a living by what we get. Love a Black tea too, but there again, they are supposed to not be as healthy as green tea.< There is only one kind of tea, they all come from the same plant. If you'd like a free $5 gift certificate to the company I order from, just email me sue My favorite is Yunnan Noir, which they make as is a hand-rolled version of this famous variety, with tightly rolled leaves into a " black snail " shape. You only need a small amount to make a nice cup of tea. The leaves unfurl, it's really pretty beautiful! I love trying new teas so I order a sample size of something different each time. My absolute least favorite was Pu Erh Dante. As their website says: " We suggest trying a sample before committing to larger quantities. The earthy taste is not subtle. Chances are, you'll either love it or hate it. " HATED IT!!
