Guest guest
Hi Karen Any suggestions for a chesty - harsh - cough? I've not got one yet, but its running rampant in our area with every other person you meet suffering from it. Starts as a cold, develops into a cough that racks the chest, and lasts about 6 weeks...I'm hoping to duck it, but would like to be prepared just in case - lol Thanks Liz 2010/1/7 Doug & KarenLee Hegre <hegre_57702 > > > Hi Liz, > I hope more of the members will join. > If you would like some ideas & recipe's for Herbal teas, just let me know. > Karen > >
Guest guest
I use Aniseed tea, simply because it has an expectorant & antispasmodic action .. It is known to be used with those who have bronchitis, and is very well known to help coughs. I grow Aniseed every year and as soon as they are ripe I harvest. I use a mortar and pestle to slightly crush the aniseeds, measure 1-2 teaspoonsfull in a cup of boiling water and enjoy. I drink up to 3 cups a day. It's got a  Licorice taste. Of course I 'have to' use a sugar cube. Also, I make Horehound Cough Drops!!!! They really help!!! Let me know if you want that recipe. Karen Hi Karen Any suggestions for a chesty - harsh - cough? Guest guest
My son gave me a St John's Wort plant for Christmas, I am not a herbalist, so wondered if you could give me some ideas on what to do with it.
