Guest guest
Every year I comment on the thieves roaming free among all those people, and DH always says, " I wouldn't want to be the one to clean up that mess! " LOL Every year! I've talked to other people who've lived in NYC and they say the same thing--that no one from there would ever go down there. Guest guest
Chris- Being the old folks that we are and having just arrived home late last night from our winter holiday, I plan to organize my files for 2002, sip some bubbly, watch the ball drop in Time Square. Get a good nights sleep and awaken with a peaceful New Year attitude. I must say, everywhere we shipped, or delivered homemade goodies the response was terrific. I got in check my email and had 3 requests for additional products and price lists. Oh a new business is birthed. Pray all is well with you and yours Healthy, Happpy, Prosperous New Year. Guest guest
Happy New Year's everyone! Chris, your New Year's plans sound delightful to me...spending it on a beautiful Colorado mountain...who could want for more? And, with family and friends is what it's all about! We're spending ours with friends aboard a pontoon boat on the Homosassa river, stopping from place to place to visit with everyone for a short while...it's hard to say no to the invitations, so this way we can enjoy them all. It's always such fun to watch the ball drop on tv...being there would be a hassle, but a great memory! Someone once wrote " Life is but a collection of memories. " Very true. Here's wishing each of you a wonderful year of memory making, filled with all the good ones!! Helen Long in Florida - Chris Ziegler Monday, December 31, 2001 9:24 AM Happy New Year! So, what are all you party animals doing tonight for the New Year? I'm going to go " up the hill " to Evergreen and spend the evening with my friends, their kids and my kid (Butch has been SO busy on the coast and is going to spend the holiday with his son and little baby granddaughter that keeps growing up so fast on him that she's not a little baby anymore! ) - and I'll watch the ball drop in Time Square on TV and STILL marvel at the fact (as I do every year) that anyone goes to that annual pickpocket fest *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
Well, it's a long time since I've asked a question !!!! Lots of you are going to 'watch the ball drop in Time Square on TV' please explain We have a big party at the village hall. Most of the people come, from tinies to oldies. We have food - several of us prepare that - and we have a bar, I work behind that, and we have dancing, and silly games and usually some 'cabaret' put on by locals. Then we have our toast and sing Auld Lang Syne and then troop off to someone's house and eventually fall into bed...... but I think I'm getting a bit tired for this last bit, so may sneak home early, well 1ish A wonderful and peaceful 2002 to you all Regards Ann - Scotland
Guest guest
Ann, if you're somewhere you can watch New York City on TV beginning around 11 p.m. tonight, you'll see the " ball drop " . It will help you to understand it...it's an awesome sight, as the city lowers a huge mirrored ball during a countdown of the last seconds of the old year. This year, engravings of names of those lost during the Sept. 11 terror attack, will be on the triangles that make up the 'ball'. Guest guest
<<So, what are all you party animals doing tonight for the New Year?>> We are having a party here at our place. Having a few friends over and play cards or silly games and watch the ball drop (even though it will be at 11 our time), shoot off fireworks at midnight and eat and drink till I am sick, I imagine. I agree about not wanting to be in Times Square tonight. I don't know why anyone would want to be at any large crowd when you can watch it on TV without the crowd and have a better view too. I feel that way about the superbowl, wrestling matches(big WWF fans here, I know, it is fake!!), concerts, etc. Happy New Year to you all!!!!! Linda Red Barn Enterprises New Candles!!!!!! Guest guest
Happy New Year to Everyone, I for one was glad to see the back of what was a very challenging year on many levels, but I know that 2010 is going to be amazing. Guest guest
YAY! Thank you Marcia! Same to you and all. Tho I'm feeling pretty foolish for being so excited about borrowing/fostering a friend's telescope to share the 'blue' moon with the kiddos that I didn't make the connection that it has been raining/drizzly ALL day. DUH! Can't see the moon for cloud cover! *lol* Sheepishly, Jessica in NC Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®
