I searched the archives first, so unless I mistyped my queries over the last

several months I did not find anything already discussed regarding these

entities. I ask here because I do not have access (or funding) for third party

testing and I figure that SOMEBODY around here might know something about them,

at least to the extent of warning me off if necessary. I have yet to find ONE

place that carries all the EOs I like to keep on hand so I try to have several

resources to shop with. I know of the beloved Samare Botane, as well as

Martin's recommended QAL. I am curious about Eden Botanicals out of northern

California. Simplers out of southern California. Loving Scents out of North

Carolina. Kobashi out of the UK. All have websites with their name.com.

Also, I'm aware that there is a general concensus that Valerie Ann Worwood is

not wholly acurate...what about the Prices?

Additionally, I have a conundrum regarding 'formal' aroma education. My state

licensure requires my CEUs be through NCBTMB providers, but the program(s) _I_

want do not fit that classification (because they are far too smart! *wink*).

Any opinions on the Institute of Integrative Aromatherapy (aroma-rn.com)?? At

one point of time it looked to be the better of options regarding fulfilling

legalities, but I'm feeling a bit sketchy about the fact that their program is

based off three texts and one of them is Penoel--am I recalling correctly that

his info should be taken with a grain of salt due to basing it off of herbal

properties rather than EO-testing?

My local options include Jade Shutes and Cynthia Loving...though I'd have to

look again to see if their programs are sufficient hours to meet ABMP's req for

100hrs aroma education before they'll cover liability. Both have snippets or

gossip that have me concerned their not the right program for me--nothing

tangible, and they both seem incredibly wonderful people.

Feel free to contact me off-list if preferred. I concur with what I understand

of Martin's ideal of aroma mentoring, but i have beaurocracy to deal with so I

need to have THOSE i's dotted and t's crossed; then i can get on with delving

further into these subjects at hand. i'd rather have my red tape sufficed with

a decent foundation rather than something that will steer me off the course i

intend to travel--hence this varied query to y'all.

oh, and MY focus leans heavily towards pediatric.

hope your holidays were exceptionally merry!!

Jessica, I've seen the course materials offered by Laraine Kyle and her

course just totally knocked my socks off. It is the most complete and

comprehensive 'distance learning' course I have ever seen. amazing stuff.

I was a student of Jades... I never completed the course... let us say

because of philosophical differences. It was a frustrating experience that

I would not want to repeat.

Jane buckle's " Foundations " course does offer LMT ceu's... but Laraine's

is a much more in depth course. surprised that it's not recognized by your

association.

and re your list of suppliers... well... never mind ;)
