Guest guest
Has anyone ever used tumeric eo in a topical blend for inflammation or pain in a salve or lotion? I have not bought it ever. I know the root stains from the fresh root tincture I make? Any ideas? Favorite EO's for numbness , nerve pain, or tingling besides St John's Wort infused oil. Anyone use Helichrysum ???? Thanks for all your help ahead of time. Alison TT waiting for rain in California. Hope you Europeans stayed warm in your cold snap !!!! Guest guest
Hi Alison, If you want to know about Tumeric oil, then I suggest you go to Farida Irani's website. I did a course with her last year - she teaches Ayurveda aromatherapy. Tumeric is really amazing. www.subtleenergies.com.au Regards Jeanine On 27/12/2009, at 8:25 AM, Alison Thornton wrote: > Has anyone ever used tumeric eo in a topical blend for inflammation or > pain in a salve or lotion? > I have not bought it ever. > I know the root stains from the fresh root tincture I make? > Any ideas? > Favorite EO's for numbness , nerve pain, or tingling besides St John's > Wort infused oil. > Anyone use Helichrysum ???? > Thanks for all your help ahead of time. > Alison TT waiting for rain in California. > Hope you Europeans stayed warm in your cold snap !!!! > Hugs, Alison >
Guest guest
Dear Alison, Hi there! Happy New Year! I have been using helichrysum aged infused oils for over 15 years now with great success. In fact I like the heli infused oil much better than the eo. I use it in about 50% of my formulas. It is great for getting rid of bruises often overnight, varicose veins, scars, other skin problems, and smells, imo, much better than any of the heli eos that are on the market. I grow and make my heli infused oils. The heli aged infused oil is also used by the drop and is kind to the skin. I also make it into a cream as well as a lotion. I prefer any heli oil to St. John's Wort infused oil. My favorite oils for nerve pain, numbness, & tingling are aged herbal infused oils of oatstraw (avena sative) and horsetail. I am especially fond of the oatstraw. It is one of the best anti-infammatories that I have ever used. I wouldn't be without it. As for the tumeric root, I would chop it up and make it into an infused oil. I have already done that with the habenjero peppers. These peppers make a nice warming oil for circulatory problems. If you want a sample of my heli, email me offlist. Have a great weekend! Our snow is gone here in Texas. However, it is still cold here. Would you mind posting with your signature and a link to your online shopping cart? Thanks to Marcia's link...I think I have identified a rash I have had for over ten years, as Chronic Eczema. I have tried to formulate products on my own time and time again, but nothing has worked. I just basically gave up. But, I'm excercising regularly now (finally) and having a hideous rash on my shin, with 3/4 length pants...not pretty. Guest guest
The most dramatic change in varicose veins was when a woman I know started taking 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil a day. Within one week all the pain was gone and it was amazing to see how the veins got smaller each week. Guest guest
Dear Group, The below emails couldn't have come at a better time. I have been cleaning out old at articles from magazines from years gone past. In the " Natural Living Today " magazine from November/December 1998 I found the following formulas from an articel entitled, " The Skinny on Scents " pages 44, 46 & 95 by Jenny Rackley. The article mentioned two ladies that I have seen their names on various groups over the years. One of the ladies is Mynou de May whome I remember but I don't know if she is on this group and another lady, Tracey Rowe. Below are the formulas given in the article. I thought that everyone here might be interested in seeing this old formulas. 1. To Cancel Cravings By Tracey Rowe 3 tablespoons Base Carrier Oil 2 Drops Patchouli 4 Drops Fennel 6 Drops Palma Rosa 6 Drops Lavender 3 Drops Clary Sage 6 Drops Rosewood 2. To Stop Anxiety by Mynou de May 1 tablespoon Base oil (grapeseed, sweet almond, sesame, jojoba) 2 Drops Geranium 2 Drops Clary Sage 3 Drops Lavender 2 Drops Orange 3. Exercise Energizer by Mynou de May 1 tablespoon Base Oil 3 Drops Rosemary 1 Drop Ginger 1 Drop Peppermint Note: This exercise formula seems to be part of a weight loss formula that appeared earlier in one of the women's magazines that you can buy at the grocery store. Mynou if you are still out there you might want to check that formula out and let us here from you. Everyone, have a great week! Stay warm, healthy and propsperous!
