So, had 2 cortisone injections ( yuk) and I have just been on a trip, tried not to use my right arm with my case, but it is really sore. I have been using oils on the arm and shoulder, had my neck adjusted. I really need to see my sons, as it only happens once a year, sometimes twice. So, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The tendon swollen, not torn. Regards Jeanine
Guest guest
Have you visited a well-trained massage therapist? Perhaps one that is proficient in medical massage/rehabilitative techniques? It's out of my current scope of practice--I'm primarily swedish at the moment. Guest guest
Hi Jeanine, I too would recommend seeing a Remedial Massage Therapist. In the meantime, you can try a heat pack on your shoulder, and when it is feeling a little better (and warm), gently (let pain be your guide), stretch your arm with palm outstretched, towards the floor (as if you are pushing the floor away from you). Hope this helps. Fiona Australia P.S. If all else fails, painkillers and antiinflammatory may help you to get some rest, and help the healing process.
