This is a fantastic decision! Most legitimate businesses and organizations are

finding the social networking benefits of Facebook are just beginning...and

growing by the day!

 

I've been on Facebook since practically day one, and not one single SPAM email,

or any other kind of negative as a direct result.

That article is about the new FireFox browser ap. It doesn't say there is

anything dangerous about Flash or Java.

 

Anyone online, whether on reading the posts or on Facebook or

any other website, just needs to keep your software current and have firewalls

and virus protection current. I've been online since the days of black text on

white background an nothing else...and I have never gotton a virus or been

hacked. If you are really that worried or fearful, I'd suggest getting a MAC or

not going online at all. There is no point in living in fear or missing out on

all the great information available online!!

 

You are much more likely to get a virus reading email than visiting a website

like Facebook. Sue

Martin has his reasons for not wanting anything to do with Facebook, I have

mine, and you have yours.

 

I for one am a bit weary of hearing you counter his comments with yet more

reasons why he should do this and that and how to be safe in doing so. You

both have been on the Internet for a very long time and you both practice

what you believe to be safe Internet habits. Would it be possible to drop

this topic?

It's dropped. I don't believe I ever advised Martin or anyone else as far as

what they " should " or " should not " do, since I never, ever do that. Glad this
