(no ability or desire for sex); > I expect that could have a bearing on modern man ... but those Monks of old were " supposed " to not be wanting sex in the first place. ;-) Reminds me of the tale of one Monastery. A novice monk was given the task of going down to the labyrinth where all the old original manuscripts and texts were filed .. and copying certain ones of the originals by hand. Of course there were many editions of such work because for hundreds of years they had required the novices to do this. This young feller was quite conscientious and worked at this task for more than a month .. then he reported back that he had accomplished his mission. Some time later, the Prior .. or Abbot .. no sure what his title was but he was the Head Monk .. decided to go down and see what this young feller had done .. sort of an efficiency report maybe. The Prior didn't come to dinner that night .. or to breakfast the next day. When he missed supper that night the other monks began to be concerned because it is a known fact that monks who do little but read and write and pray and sniff Vitex all day long all look forward to chowing down at the table. So .. they went looking for him. They found him too. He was down in the labyrinth crying his eyes out. They inquired as to what his problem was .. and was he disappointed with the work the young novice had done. His reply was, " His work was outstanding ... he copied the original texts exactly as they were written. But .. it appears that over the years other novices have been copying the same errors over and over .. the original said " celebrate " . Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch ... http://www.AV-AT.com <http://www.av-at.com/> .. who .. celebrates each day that he wakes up .. here in Gawd's Kuntry .. Henry County, Tennessee. Guest guest
Kathleen, The best natural medicine for rampant teenage boys is a couple of desperate housewives. Much less risk of unwanted side effects of the treatment such as teenage pregnancy. They will train them and turn them into fine husbands for later in life. Ask around your area for volunteers:) Martin PS. My .com web site and its email is offline for now,any messages to it will likely bounce back, but the aromamedical.org one is OK. Guest guest
LOL Martin, you are so right. I participated by leading a control group in the vitex study with Barbara Lucks and have the paper around here somewhere. Bottom line, using the eo, many bad side effects for pre-menopausal women, most success with post-menopausal. Great differences between berry/leaf eo for everyone and we decided that some reactions were bad enough, it was best used under medical supervision. I'll post the paper when I can find it. Wouldn't rush to use this oil. The dried berry (as a tissane) is an entirely different story. Chaste tree has multiple beneficial properties for pre-menopausal or post menopausal women by acting on the pituitary gland to stabilise hormonal imbalances. Chaste tree berries have been documented as treatments for PMS and menopause for hundreds of years; the berries contain progestins which relieve hot flushes and vaginal dryness in some women. Recent herbal information says berries, leaves, stems, all plant parts are used, but traditionally, only the berries were.
