Guest guest
Does anyone know if the Mahkota Dewa (phaleria macrocarpa) produces an essential oil? Thanks Shannon
Guest guest
Thousands of plants produce essential oils but they are not commercially used. There are many on the aromatherapy market that are given fancy names, but in reality are just synthetic perfume blends. This particular plant is not extracted on a commercial basis, but if someone is doing it on a small scale I do not know. Whatever is the case, it should never be used in anything applied to the skin as safety is unknown. The plant is used as a herbal preparation in Indonesia, but as far as I can see the oil has not been used in traditional medicine and anyway the active constituents are not in its essential oil. Guest guest
Thank you, it seemed to have interesting healing benefits and I just wondered if an essential oil was available.
